Based on the Opel Insignia, this european born sedan was brought to the American market under the Buick nameplate under a long known name, Regal. This car is designed to compete with other sport sedans such as the acura tsx 4 cylinder. This video goes through every aspect of the Regal from performance, to driveability, luxury features and equipment, as well as night driving, styling, and much much more. Everything you would want to know and more about the newest sport sedan from GM. A standard 2.4L naturally aspirated 4 cylinder is offered, but with about 50 less horsepower. a GS model with come later this year packing even more performance for those true driving enthusiasts. The GN and the T-Type are identical except for badging and interior trim. It wasn't until you stepped it on up to the GNX did you get the truly different package (which I will explain in the video). The GN is arguably the most menacing looking buick of all time with it's black monochrome paint scheme and turbo charged 3.8 V6 pumping out amazing performance numbers for the time period, even today! This is a bit difficult to do for the Regal since it almost never had the same setup on it for more than a few weeks! Anyway I'll try my best! Z34 - Intake and chip. Stock at the time of the Iroc-Z race. SHO - SHO SHOp catless Ypipe (That's it!!!) (Stock during most of the Races in this Video) vs tuned turbo Cobalt at the Track. Regal: Headers, mild cam, pulley, tune and intake Vs stock G8. Regal: same mods as above 11.9 @ 112 in the 1/4 on slicks with some c16 race gas mixed in, m90 blower (stock) Vs full bolt on, gears, tuned 2011 Mustang v6. Regal: TVS swap with stock TVS pulley. 7psi of Boost. vs full bolt on, 3.55 gears, tuned 1998 Cobra. Regal: same setup as vs the 2011 v6 Vs 330whp low 12 second Vortech supercharged 2002 Mustang GT. Regal: TVS swap + 2.8'' pulley (14psi) and ethanol. 374whp with same mods as vs the blown GT As always the Regal had stock heads and never had an Intercooler! Thanks for all the comments!
