Why I love a V8
Torque is so much fun. To put this in perspective let me give you some horsepower numbers. At 3000rpm I am only making about 165whp. and at 4000rpm I am making about about 235whp. Not a big amount of horsepower. But at those same RPM's my V8 is making 290 tq and at 4000rpm I am making my peak tq of 310. So while my hp is down my car still accelerates fairly briskly. God I love a V8.

1990 Ford Mustang 351w Notchback
My 1990 Mustang Notchback, 351w bored to a 356. Blew that motor, it now sits as a 393 stroker with fully forged internals. Car made 360 hp and 390 tq with undersized heads and headers (170 edelbrock performers and 1 5/8 headers) She will see 400+ hp and tq with the new 210 victor jrs and some 1 7/8 long tubes)

My 93 LX Mustang TURN UP THE VOLUME
This is a 93 LX Mustang with 99,600 miles with a new 5.0 340hp Ford Crate motor (3000 miles). E303 cam GT40 X heads, Cobra intake, 23# injectors, Cold air intake, 73mm mass air, 65mm TB, King Cobra clutch, steeda adj clutch cable, subframe connectors, boxed upper and lower control arms, massive sway bar, KYB shocks, Baer cross drilled slotted rotors, 76mm. calipers, 3:73 gears, Moser 31 spline axles, 95 amp PA alt., 255l fuel pump, pro 5.0 shifter. Nitto 555r in back, 17" cobra r's. Ford racing alum drive shaft, Magnaflow Catback Exhaust,with Pypes highflow cats, Pypes ceramic coated shorty headers, Black magic elec. fan, 3 row radiator, Kenwood stereo. 3 piece apillar gauge set, Mostly a show car at local events, Have raced it a couple of times. Best is 13.3 @104, 1.98 60' 2000rpm launch with minimal heating of the tires no crazy burnouts. This car has been garaged its whole life. It doesnt see rain or snow. Its my weekens show car.
