Dodge is spicing up the Challenger line with a new eye-searing paint color. The hue is called Green With Envy, and it's supposed to pay homage to some of the wilder colors from the company's past, including Sublime and Green Go. Buyers will be able to grab their new green Challenger in one of two configurations, including a new R/T Classic that serves up the company's 372-horsepower 5.7-liter V8 engine with two A-line body stripes. The accents are available in either matte black or white.
For those who need a little more bite with their bark, Chrysler is also serving up the Challenger SRT8 in the new paint. In that trim, owners can enjoy the same 470-horsepower 6.4-liter V8 engine found in the Challenger SRT8 392, and the muscle bruisers will be differentiated by full-body black stripes. Likewise, the interior will enjoy Green With Envy accented seats.
Look to pony up around $35,785 for the Challenger R/T Classic Green With Envy and $44,875 for the SRT8 iteration. Both prices include destination

The expanding muscle car market is going to be "Green With Envy" as the Dodge brand today announced a first-time, limited production run of the 2011 Dodge Challenger R/T Classic and SRT8® 392 models featuring Green With Envy exterior color.
Both Dodge Challenger models are improved for 2011 and deliver more of what American muscle-car enthusiasts want - unmistakable design, powerful HEMI® V-8 engines with new technologies and world-class handling and braking. Executed with quality and precision, the two new Challenger Green With Envy models provide an extra dose of exclusivity.
"We're using Green With Envy on the new 2011 Dodge Challengers to pay tribute to some of the coolest paint colors from our past, including the "Sublime" and "Green Go" Dodge Challengers from the 1970's and more recently, the "Snakeskin Green" Vipers from 2008-2010," said Ralph Gilles, President and CEO, Dodge Brand and Senior Vice President , Product Design - Chrysler Group LLC. "Not only will this exclusive heritage color remain unique to the Dodge brand, it adds another fresh and exciting element to our modern American muscle coupe."
Production of the 2011 Green With Envy Challenger models will start in February 2011 at the Brampton Assembly plant in Brampton, Ontario, Canada. Challenger SRT8 Green With Envy models are available for ordering now at Dodge dealerships, while orders for the Challenger R/T Classic models will begin in late first quarter, 2011.

Dodge Challenger SRT8 392 HEMI - Special Edition ROAD TEST
Experience some sights and sounds of the 2011 Dodge Challenger SRT8 392 HEMI Inaugural Edition. I was able to drive it on the same canyon roads that I recently drove the Mustang Shelby GT500 and was shocked at how fast and how great this car handles for being over 600 lbs. heavier than the Shelby.
This limited edition 392 I.E. package will cost about $47,000 and features the new 6.4L HEMI engine that is good for 470 horsepower and 470 ft.lbs. of torque. The special interior is very flashy at first but fits perfect with the overall feel of the car...which is in your face awesome but sedate enough to live with every day.
Speaking of living with this car, during my grueling commute to work the few days I had this thing, my fuel mileage average was 21 mpg combo which blew me away.
Do I want this car, heck yes I do! But this price range has some stiff competitors.
The collect-ability factor is very high with this factory hot rod though. Dodge will make less than 1500 of these so you had better get in line pretty quick to own one.
