475rwhp Cadillac CTS-V with LS7 motor and Ford 9 inch rear exterior walk around
This is an exterior walk around of my baby. My 2004 Cadillac CTS-V with LS7 motor swap and Ford 9 inch rear end. It makes right at 475rwhp and 521 rwtq. It's a rocket and yet oh so beautiful. As of 08/20/2009 it's up for sale... why, you may ask, would I part with such a beautiful and unique monster. Well... I just found out that I have much more live version of a real baby on the way. And this "toy" is one of the sacrifices I'll be making. CBM MOTORSPORTS LS7 PORSCHE 911 SWAP
The Corvette and the Porsche 911 have two things in common; they represent the ultimate sports car for their respective countries of origin, and they're both mortal enemies. Porsche and Corvette owners never can quite see eye to eye, with both always claiming that they have the world's best "affordable" sports car. The rivalry between the two camps stems from the '50s, and doesn't appear to be going away anytime soon. We agree that both are great cars, however, being quite partial to the GM LS engine platform ourselves, we tend to favor the Vette over Stuttgart's finest. Chris Bland (CBM) the owner of this black 911, who removed the 325HP flat six from his Porsche to replace it with that of a modified LS7 sourced from a Corvette Z06. Before swapping it, he added a few more speed parts, and the LS7 911 is now packing 630 horsepower.

2004 CTS-V Gforce 9" Rear End Burnout Tire Smoke Rubber Destruction
Figured I'd melt down the old BFG KDW2's before I put the ones on. The Gforce 9" rear end/axles/driveshaft are holding up just fine!!! Can't say the same for tires or the pavement!

2006 Cadillac CTS V6 3.6L Engine Teardown
GM Dealer is replacing the piston rings, rod bearings, one cam chain tensioner, and a cam chain set (one was stretched slightly) on my 2006 Cadillac CTS. Symptoms were high oil consumption (about 1 quart per 800 miles) and engine knock at low speeds that progressively worsened over time. I purchased the car used from another GM dealer in March 2011 with 46,000 miles. It now has 59,000 miles. Shot at Folsom Buick GMC. They are doing a great job and went beyond their call of duty to advocate my case to General Motors. Although the car is out of warranty by a little bit, a goodwill offer was made that reduces my out-of-pocket expense on this repair a great deal.
