Testing ABS sensor with multimeter
Testing resistance on ABS sensor by disconnecting the sensor cable and connecting it to the multimeter probes. This test is for passive ABS sensors found in older cars, doesn't work for active ABS sensors. Should show something like 1000 Ohms depending on spec and should go up and down a little as you turn your wheel (as the cogs on the sensor ring pass under the sensor). This is showing the test on the new sensor. When I opened up the old sensor I saw the copper wire coil inside it was broke. It had shown 0 resistance with same test.
