With a wide range of petrol and diesel engines on offer, a huge list of options and a choice of different suspension set-ups, Audi A4 buyers have plenty of choice. For the ultimate in comfort and low running costs, go for the 2.0 TDI in SE trim, but for a sportier drive the 2. TFSI turbo petrol model in S line trim is the best bet - although you'll need to ask yourself if you can live with the stiff suspension all the time. They are exceptionally boring, not sporty in any way, shape or form and they shall only be used for boring daily commutes where fuel consumption is more important than the joy of driving. Now the Audi A5 Coupe is one of the most beautiful cars ever and it also is available with big diesel engines. Drivers Passion took an S-line diesel version on a fictional daily commute to prove that diesel is not always boring and that it is indeed possible to have fun in a diesel powered car in a day to day situation.
