Gotta have a little fun with the non-road worthy parts car! Can't get her running for a smoky burnout, and don't what to destroy it outright! The fender we hit was already beat and dented, we just helped it along a bit... No other body panels were harmed during the filming of this video.
1985 Pontiac Firebird Parts Car
She is a Trans Am, not just a Firebird. Gonna get all the usable stuff off her, then either sell the hulk as a project to someone interested, or scrap it by next weekend. Which ever comes first. The TPI and Trans are pretty much sold already. If there's something you might want or need, either send myself or kenhcook1 a message, we'll see what we can do for you.
How To Roll Fenders
This is a tutorial on how to properly roll the lip of fenders so rubbing does not occur. The reason to roll your fenders on a vehicle is to stop rubbing so you can prevent damage to you tire. You can search local forums and tuner shops to find a roller near you.
Back in early 2008 I had my 88 Fiero GT painted
1986 TV Commercial Maaco
Originally aired October 1986. TV commercial for auto body specialist Maaco. Uh oh! Better get Maaco!
Mustang Maaco Paint Job
Here is my 1985 Mustang GT 5.0. I still need to add the 5.0 badges on the front fenders, the hood decal, and the hatch decal. I prepped the car and did all the body work, and Maaco painted it. I was pretty impressed considering Maaco painted it. Just goes to show, you should do your own prep work before taking it down there.
COST WAS $650 FOR ME. I am stating that here because so many people ask, even though it is in every other comment.
Maaco Takes Advantage
I took my car to Tempe Maaco Auto Paint & Auto Body Repair on University after a minor accident I was in and they tried to take me for $400+ extra dollars. I asked for OME, Original Manufactured Equipment and they put aftermarket parts on my car and charged me for the OEM parts! Good try Maaco!
MAG Ireland "No Con Test" Demo
National Demo against roadworthiness testing. Hundreds of bikers from all over Ireland turned out to protest in opposition to an EU proposal which seeks to extend roadworthiness testing to motorcycles, based on flawed figures presented by the EU Commission.
The EU Commission claims 8% of motorcycle accidents have technical failure of the motorcycle as a contributory factor, when the true figure as revealed by the MAIDS Study is just 1.6%. The EU Commission is therefore trying to solve a problem which doesn't actually exist and even it did, would affect only a very tiny fraction of the total number of vehicles on Irish roads. Even the RSA agrees that technical problems on motorcycles are not a road safety issue.
Rig O' Mortis, Take Two!
Ryan's second burnout in the beast, and this time it's in HD!
We took the box off to weld it up and also to clean the frame. I'm guessing the absence of it's weight helped a little with the burnout, too.
Installing KITT's wheels
Sure is starting to look like the TV car. Just need paint, the bumper, install the engine, finish the interior...

So why no updates on the CR500? Watch the video and see!
We've got a new timeline with a project roadworthiness ETA date.
Also see some more NEW projects coming up for this year, such as Dad's Kawasaki KX440 bike which we plan to chop and customize, and a Baja Doodlebug DB30 simple repair and cleanup. Also we need to revisit the Puch Magnum II and get that thing ready for the street again!
And my Chinese Choppers are SOLD!
