1987 Buick Grand National (Regal T-Type Turbo) Start Up, Exhaust, and In Depth Review
**I made an editing error at the beginning. Thanks a bunch to Streetside Classics of Charlotte, NC for allowing me to film this video! Hello and welcome to Saabkyle04! YouTube's largest collection of automotive variety! In today's video, we will take an up close and personal in depth look at the understated muscle car of the late 80s, the Buick Grand National, this one specifically the Regal T-Type. The GN and the T-Type are identical except for badging and interior trim. It wasn't until you stepped it on up to the GNX did you get the truly different package (which I will explain in the video). The GN is arguably the most menacing looking buick of all time with it's black monochrome paint scheme and turbo charged 3.8 V6 pumping out amazing performance numbers for the time period, even today! A unique experience to be able to check out one of these beasts. During this presentation, we will take a 1st person look at what the vehicle is all about beginning with the start up, performance data, fuel economy, the occasional track data, and build quality. Also, I will teach you how to use most of the interior and exterior features in a detailed fashion, that before, you could only get from going to a dealership yourself! Throughout the video, I will highlight key styling and unique differences about the vehicle, any available options, and of course it would not be an enthusiast car video without the good ole engine portion with rev and Exhaust note with interior and exterior perspectives. A thorough tour/review of this car designed to give others a greater overall appreciation of the vehicle. June 26, 2009 - Baseline testing for the next upgrade. Funny part is Mustang before me forgets to close his hood. Not so funny as my tires cool down waiting for him to get his act together. That rattling noise after launch is a lesson learned on how much the tranny actually moves under load and how much clearance to maintain from rotating parts...oops.

We went to Art Carr's shop in Huntington Beach, CA to do a high performance HydroBoost brake installation on Art's personal turbo Buick. This is the instal on the turbo T-Type. It was a high horsepower car that had no vacuum, so we took care of it and it stops like a champ.
