Hot Rod 292 six cylinder
This engine was a collaboration between my dad and his cousin. It's a 292, .030 over. It's been balanced. It's got JE forged pistons that puts it at about 10.5:1 compression. It has an Engle cam with 231 @ .050 duration and .565 lift. The head is a lump port head by Self with Ferrea 1.94/1.6 valves, K-Motion springs, Bill Smith pushrods, and Harland Sharp 1.75 roller rockers. The oil pan is a Hamburger aluminum pan, and the timing cover is a Frank pattern finned aluminum unit, and it has a custom made ATI Super Dampner and aluminum Fidenza flywheel. The intake manifold is a Clifford 4 barrel, with a 2" Super Sucker and currently has a Holley 750 carb on it., This is going in a '37 Ford pickup with a Richmond 5 speed behind it.

Something tells me not everyone will appreciate this, but for you engineering types, this is the beauty of an inline-six. I personally love how the pistons are like a wave emitting from the center, like throwing a stone into the middle of a still pond...

However, I suspect it has been rebuilt once, but I don't have the records... you can still see honing marks in the cylinders. I've driven it for 60,000 miles up to this point.

Last year car went 10.01 at 143 .Built 408 twin 64 mm dryers with a 6 speed. Just added a fab 9,225cc heads,kryo tread viper spec 6 speed, twin disc copper faced clutch,qa1 adj shocks, all new rear suspension. hope to run a 9.8 with a 6 speed this year.
