Honda Civic Hybrid 2008 0-113mph
Hitting the set electronic limiter in a stock 2008 HCH. Note how the assist in the electric motor caps out once the car nears 113 mph, could that be due to the battery dropping below 3 bars? Sorry for the poor quality and the shaky hand, I didn't have the mount ready or a camera handy. Taken with an iPhone 3G camera!
2010 Insight Small Hill Climb Video 1
Small Hill Climb Technique. Shows high fuel economy going up a small hill by gaining speed approaching the hill and then letting the speed drop off as the car progresses up the hill. Maintain 60+ MPG throughout. Only at the top of the hill does speed drop below 55 MPH. Taken during commute into Hartford, CT. Car is 2010 Honda Insight.
For Insight owners, notice the assist gauge never assists, even while going up the hill. High FE (Several bars over 50 MPG) maintained throughout.
Davids 2010 Honda Insight Review
My personal review of the 2010 Honda Insight, as an owner of the vehicle. I made this with my cheap digital camera, so give me a break on some of the realIy shakey scenes. It is harder to hold a tiny camera still in a moving car than one might think. I also make some comparisons with the 2009 Toyota Prius, some people have complained it should have been compared to the 2010 model. However, the 2010 Prius was not available for several months after I purchased my Insight and so I had no way to compare.

I did a 21 km round in the city of Copenhagen in the evening with avage speed of 36 km/h.
Conditions:
The engine was warm when I started, because I has to have the same conditions for the other test.
Econ button off
Outside temperature 5 degrees C
Cabin temperature 23 degrees C
Air-condition of but I had ventilation system in a setting so the car does NOT stop the engine when the car has stoped.
The traffic was very light.
I did speed up fast until reaching the speed limit. I slowed down with a relative hard breaking only getting minimum regenerative breaking.
If I have had a passenger onboard they would have felt uncomfortable, because of the driving style.
