As if this potent combination of watercraft and off-road vehicle could not get more dangerous, Mast Motorsports again proves the world wrong by lining up a different airboat (estimated 800 HP, most likely the LS7-based, supercharged Hurricane) against a Rally Fighter (estimated 450 HP) on the street. Yes, a boat on the street. Why on earth would this display of horsepower and testosterone be deemed necessary, with a fairly good chance at skin grafts and body casts being required? This challenge was cooked up for an upcoming episode of Top Gear USA set to air Sunday, August 7. It is probably safe to predict that Mr. Foust will be supporting team Rally Fighter while the loveable Rutledge will be backing the airboat. Regardless of danger factor, the LS-powered airboat looks like a lot of fun.

I didn't really plan on needing my swamp boat's. Live and learn to always be prepared when airboating I guess. This morning I placed a plastic spider I have been saving for to scare a friend with (Brownwater Dave) in my pocket. I was waiting for just the right moment to place it on his gauge panel and watch the show begin. I once asked him where the big dent in his hull came from and he told me he hit a tree avoiding a spider... With all the crazy riding Brownwater gets us into, it's hard for me to imagine him being afraid of spider's like he is.
We started out at Zelner's for a bit and then ran back towards 4 corner's via the stick's to help a boat wedged in the trail. Things started to get hairy when first Dave's battery went dead, and I had to remove mine to start his boat. Then of course my boat wouldn't start and was loading up, finally it cranked and off we went towards home... The rest is history...
When I saw Dave's boat I couldn't remember if I had placed the spider on his panel or not.. A cold chill went thru me, and not until I got home hours later did I find it in my pocket.. Sad thing is, this was some great footage that mucked up when editing, and turned out poor. What should have been a 30 minute project turned into day's trying to recover files. Another lessened learned, "Hit Save Often"

Raising Sunk Airboat
Raising an airboat sitting in about 18 feet of water. This is the St. Johns River between Sanford Florida, and Geneva Florida.
