plaatsen. Skoda spreekt zelf van een slimme SUV en dat is een adequate karakterisering. Ze noemen
m YETI. Hij is stoer, krachtig, heeft een hoog kwaliteitsniveau, is betaalbaar en ook nog eens sociaal

Skoda Roomster Review
If you are looking for an MPV with a large amount of space for little money which stands out from the crowd, look no further than the Skoda Roomster.
Styling:
The pronounced grille and flush headlights look fine, nothing special here, same goes for the rear, a very quintessential small-MPV, however, from the side perspective, the unique window-line is simply odd; the styling really does turn heads.
Boot:
On the key fob, there is this useless feature which only unlocks the boot but doesn't actually open it. However, the Skoda redeems itself with useful shelves, partitions and hooks for your shopping bags. With a volume of 450L, it does genuinely live up to its name.
Rear:
In the back of the Roomster, we find 3 fully adjustable seats (show) with amazing legroom and headroom, the big windows give an airy-feeling. The middle seat is a little narrow. There are numerous seating arrangements possible, the middle one weighing 12KG and the outer ones 16KG. If the 450L boot isn't large enough, you can remove the seats completely giving you a massive 1780L load bay.
Front:
The seats are adequately firm providing good support in the bends. Some switches are obviously from the golf and the cabin is well screwed together. The strange window-line can obstruct your view on sharp junctions. The dash is ergonomically laid-out with a double glovebox covered with soft touch plastics. We're in the level 2 model boasting alloy wheels, air/con, and curtain airbags. All models come with an mp3 socket enabling you to play content from your iPod.
On the road:
For such a tall car, the Roomster stays planted around corners with limited body-roll giving a sense of composure. The car's ride is compliant and the steering is light though accurate. Around town, the Roomster is good with it's 10.5m turning circle.
Our test car is propelled by the 1.9 Tdi delivering 105bhp and 240nm of torque, the 1260 kg Skoda gets from 0-60 in a modest 11.5 seconds reaching a maximum of 115 mph. The 4 pot emits just 146 g/km of CO2 returning just over 51mpg combined, giving a theoretical 600+ mile range.
Verdict:
The Roomster starts off at just over £10,000, this, the handling and the practicality mean that this is a very well sorted car, despite the looks only a mother could love.

Low costs and big practicality set the Skoda Roomster apart from rival small people carriers. It's affordable and cheap to run in any specification, and while the cabin doesn't exhibit the flair of the exterior, it's functional, well built, spacious and practical. The quirky looking body won't be to everyone's taste, but the Roomster is a sensible buy and meets the needs of those looking to transport more than your average amount of luggage without breaking the bank.
