INSTALLING AN AMP AND SUBS IN A 2005 DODGE RAM QUAD CAB
Seat folds down onto the box without loss of function.
If your truck has the storage tray underneath the rear seat, it will have to be removed in order for the box to hang down into the cargo area.
The subwoofers' magnets hang down into the cargo area and fire up into the seat.

2003 Dodge Ram w/ 2 8" Alpine subs
I put this system together for economy and sound quality, not truck
rattling bass. I forgot to mention in the video that the door speakers are
being fed by Alpines KTP-445 Plug and Play Head Unit Power amplifier which
sends 45x4 RMS watts. I was a little disappointed in the subs when I first
hooked them up, but they have broken in nicely. So make sure you let them
break in before thinking that they suck.
Replacing Dodge Ram Door Speakers
Replacing a bad door speaker in a 1998 Dodge ram 3/4 ton truck. Getting
the door panel off is the hardest art. I used one Pioneer TS-A6964R
speaker from BestBuy.

ALPINE TYPE R 10" 600w RMS IN DODGE MEGA CAB 3500
~GO TO 2:44 FOR THE BASS~
2007 Dodge Ram 3500 Megacab dually truck. Its a 5.9L Cummins 24v turbo Diesel with a 6 speed G56 manual
transmission. I'm running a single 10" Alpine Type R subwoofer (SWR1043D)
powered by a Mono-block Alpine MRP M500 amp. The headunit is stock, but I
installed a PAC SNI-35 line out converter, which gives the audio signal to
the amp as explained @2:21. The box was a cheap sub box that I bought from
Amazon for $30, and I had to reduce the depth in order to fit. I reduced
the depth to around 9" from the bottom, and 7.5" from the top. This was
recorded with a Canon T2i DSLR camera.

How to install a JVC radio in a Dodge Ram, part 2
NOTE: Go ahead and hook up any wires you might have to a power antenna as I
have been told in some models the truck uses that line to power amplifiers
and a front speaker noise reduction unit.
This is a step-by-step video of how to install a generic JVC KD-R200 radio
into a 1998 Dodge Ram Quad-Cab. In this second part I illustrate how I
wise the radio in a way that doesn't harm the truck.. I think it is real
important to never modify the car's wiring or dash, I hate it when people
just start cutting holes. When my install is done it all looks nice and
factory but more importantly, everything could be removed and returned to
stock to sell the truck for instance. I live 100 miles from where I could
buy a kit. Some people build because they can, some buy because they
I would appreciate any comments or questions, ideas or difficulties you
might have. Post a video response of your project and how you were able to
overcome it. I am a History teacher by trade but a tinkerer at heart.
The truck is Cummings turbo diesel with
about 150,000 miles and numerous modifications including a pack break,
propane injection, duel circuit ditch lights tied to the high/low beams,
trailer break switch to kill breaks when pulling an empty trailer, fuel
pump pressure Boost light (you only
kill one injection pump from starvation before you learn) electric lift
pump to save the injector pump, remote heavy equipment fuel filter and a
long range fuel tank that will let me go nearly 1000 miles between pumps.
