250 chevy inline 6 in 65 Chevelle wagon lump port head
This video was made to show how a street modified inline 6 can run. The cam and compression are street fuel friendly. Car weighs in at 3600 lbs empty. 2.56 rear gears Mileage is 20 MPG going 75-80 MPH I have owned this car since 2004. It sat in the garage waiting for a purpose. It had a 194 inline and a powerglide trans with 3.08 gears. In may of 2012 we decided to get it ready to take to the Inliners International Convention in Carson City Nevada. The 194 and trans were pulled. The 250 Dyno engine was installed. This engine was a Dyno mule to test different cams, heads, intakes and a turbo in my other videos. It has over 120 full throttle runs put to it on the Dyno. The trans is a Richmond non overdrive 5 speed. Rear gears were swapped to 2.56 for highway running. The engine is a 250 Chevy with flat top pistons, balanced lower end, offy intake. Compression is 9.5 to 1. The head has extensive work. Bolt in lumps are installed along with 1.94/ 1.6 valves. The head is also ported. Cam is a Clifford 270 hydraulic. This engine Dynoed at 285 HP with a 4 BBL and Clifford intake. The Exhaust consists of Hooker headers, dual 2.5" collectors merged together into a Magnaflow 3 chamber muffler, the tailpipe is 2.5". Since installation the car was driven to Carson City at the end of May without trouble. And up to this point has been driven 5500 miles. Checkout my website http://www.12bolt.com/ . Bobs 250 Chevy inline 6 DYNO pulls Straight six
250 Chevy, ross flat top pistons, 6" rods, balanced lower end. Built by Heckt Power. Parts supplied by www.12bolt.com 310 HP and still climbing! Torq is @275 near the start and is maintained to nearly the end of run. Head has 1.94/1.6 valves, bolt in intake port lumps are used. 1.75 roller rocker arms. The block is zero decked. Cam has 224/230 duraration @ .050 lift and .551 lift at the valves. Intake is a Clifford carb is a Edelbrock 500cfm This engine is almost at the max for this carb. Any more rpm and a 600 will need to be used.

Low deck inline 6 292 fun street engine
This is a 292 Chevy straight 6. It is made from a 250 block with custom pistons and rods. The cam is a Compcams 252 hydraulic, compression about 9.0 to 1. The head has oversized valves with bolt in lumps and Crower roller rockers. Intake is a Johnson AGricultural LPG with a Rochester 2 bbl carb. Setup to run on 87 octane. Car is a 70 Nova with Muncie 4 speed and 3.08 12 bolt posi. Headers are custom made by owner. 1.5" full length stainless. This car RIPS!

This is a video done on 9-16-07 at tri county raceway in ne iowa. my best run of the day a 14.41 @96 mph. time to do some more tuning. the drive train is a inline 6 292 turboed, efi, intercooled, 700r4 and 3.55 gears. 60 foot time was 2.25sec, Boost went up to 11 lbs and i am having problems with the Boost falling off near the end of the track. i bet it can get it into the 13's pretty soon. keep watching. UPDATE found the falling off problem, spark blowout. got that fixed and will be in the 13's easy this year. update 7/22/08 made it back to the track, made a new best 13.85 @ 99.9 mph! also went to a chassis Dyno. made 243hp @ 4500rpm to tires and 320 torq. tq started @ 2900 rpm and went to 4500 above 300 ft pnds.
