After dry test runs of the boat, the update 04 shows the finished "Blue Princess" in the swimming pool.

This engine was built early in my gasoline engine building career. I received the castings and drawings as a Christmas gift from my wife. I had it running about five months later. This is the engine that creates the most interest at the shows. So much so that I've had to rebuild it twice because of wear. As designed, it had some major shortcomings. The conrods were bronze castings which promptly wore grooves in the crank. These were replaced with rods machined from 2024 aluminum. Pistons were remade and the engine fitted with rings made from the George Trimble method. Oil control rings are a necessity as the engine smokes badly without them. An electric start system was added and the engine now runs with the push of a button.

My car is a 1975 Austin Mini. This car has been completely restored and is now powered by a 4Lt rover v8 engine and 5 speed transmission. The carburettor is a four barrel Edelbrock 500 as is the inlet manifold. Crower 232 cam and stage 2 cylinder heads. Ignition is provided by Mallory. The cassis is made from 38mm CDS tubing. Fibre glass boot lid and bonnet. The car has a steel flip front to allow easy access to the engine. The differential is a Ford Sierra Cosworth LSD. The suspension is coil over shocks all round. Seats are black glass fibre buckets with 4 point harnesses. The car now has disk brakes all round with 4 pot callipers on the front and Ford Sierra callipers on the back. Due to the engine layout the radiator is in the rear of the vehicle. The wiring loom and all electrics are new. Wheels are alloy and are 15X8 all round. Weight is approximately 600Kg's.
This gives me 500BHP per tonne.
If you look on Ken Voss's website he has an applet to calculate quarter mile times. Mine comes out at 9.46 @ 144MPH which is a shame cos my tyres are rated at 130 MPH Ha Ha Ha.
