Volvo V70 ABS Tracs Module
This is the module off of a 1999 Volvo V70. I had the typical ABS/TRACS failure and indeed tried to repair it myself. Prior to the repair the ABS, TRACS, and check engine lights were all on. On occasion this module would also cause the transmission to go into "limp mode" and the yellow arrow would flash repeatedly. I would then reset the computer and everything would be fine for awhile.

Problemen met het ABS systeem komen veelvuldig voor bij oa Audi, BMW, Ford, Jaguar, Mercedes, Opel, Peugeot, Renault, Saab, Seat, Skoda, Volkswagen, Volvo en vele andere merken. DO NOT TRY TO REPAIR YOU MODULE UNLESS YOU FULLY UNDERSTAND WHAT YOU ARE DOING !!!!
ALL AT YOUR OWN RISK !!!! (it isn't really that hard )
this is a little vid wich shows you how to repair the ATE abs module .
it's a simple repair which can be done without bleeding brakes or anything .
first you should remove the module from your car .
the module is bolted to the underside of the pump unit with 4 E5 little screws .
i used a small 4mm hex socket to remove this 4 screws .
the next step is to get the module open .
it might look easy with the clips on the side of the module , but they glued it together so you have to saw it open .
i used a litlle hacksaw , and sawd carefully along the edge of the cover .
you have to start sawing slightly higher than the steel bushings .
DON'T go to deep !!!! you'll damage everything !
when you are so lucky to get it open , go to the corner i point out in the video .
this is the corner where the pump connector is .
the problem is the positive pump terminal .
you should remove the silicone layer very carefull.
don't make any scratches or damage any component .
after you succesfully removed the silicone layer , you should clean the board a litlle to make sure your new solder properly connects to the board.
after you did this you can seal the module back together (or carefuly test it first )
i used ordinary household silicone to glue it shut .
this repair goes for all jeep grand cherokee vehicles from years 1995/6/7/8 with an ATE abs module .
the module number is 56027931
there are lots more modules with this problem but i don't know mumbers of that ones (post them in the comments please )
this also goes for jaquar cars volvos bmw and other cars and traction control systems on volvo !
you might wanna inspect al other solder points as well !

Hello! First of all, sorry for my poor English. This is first my video (in future there will be more vids - I will show you the proccess of vehicle tuning).
This video introduces you to vehicle chip tuning.
I am working with this for few years, so I have some experience. I have bought the chiptuning hardware (it's not expensive). But I am using free chip tuning files (I am comparing original file with tuned file and I see if this file is good).
What is more... I have bought Bluefin (http://www.superchips.co.uk) for my car. It costs 300-450 pounds depending on vehicle make and engine type. And I can say, that the same result can be achieved with less money. You just need to buy chip tuning tool (cable) and have a litle knowledge.

Chevy ABS and Brake Dash Light fix
This is how to fix intermittent ABS and Brake dash lights on all Chevrolet vehicles with the Kelsey-Hayes 325 EBCM module. You may have code C0265 "Electronic Brake Control Module Motor Relay Circuit." The fault is usually due to corrupted solder joints on the circuit board to which the motor relay circuit is connected and is easily repaired with additional solder. The warning lights are intermittent whereas the poor solder joints result in brief communication interruptions with the relay circuit. The warnings will extinguish when reset (turning the vehicle off/on) and will illuminate again once the circuit loses its communications path.

I HAVE RECENTLY DISCOVERED BY TALKING TO SOMEBODY THAT SUCCESSFULLY REPAIRED THEIR ECU THAT THE RESISTORS DO NOT NEED TO BE REPLACED! THE PROBLEM IS A POOR CONNECTION BETWEEN THE RESISTORS AND THE CIRCUIT BOARD SO ALL U NEED TO DO IS RE-SOLDER THEM!
ALSO, I WOULD RECOMMEND REPAIRING THE THREE GROUND POINTS ON THE CIRCUIT BOARD WHERE THEY CONTACT THE ALUMINUM HOUSING. *IF YOU CANNOT FIGURE OUT HOW TO DO THIS OR ARE UNSURE OF ANY STEP YOU SHOULD NOT ATTEMPT REPAIR AND INSTEAD SEND YOUR ECU TO SOMEONE WHO KNOWS WHAT THEY ARE DOING* check engine etc in ny is who i would recommend.
