Riviera engine pull pt.4
Continuation on pt.3, engine coming out. Had to pull both at the same time because we *thought* the back bellhousing bolt was out, but there was something still holding the two together so we just pulled em both at once.
1995 Buick Riviera Transmission swap pt. 2
Mid progress on the swap... Swapping the tranny in the Riv I just bought. The subframe is a 1 piece deal so I am going to pull the engine out of the top, instead of dropping it like I normally would. I also have to change a few things, water pump, and put a new rattler coupler in the blower.

Automotive Robo Tech was called for a 93 Chevrolet Lumina, with a transmission shifting complaint. The customer had a transmission issue and had a used transmission installed. After the installation the vehicle still wasn't shifting right. I, immediately verified the complaint on a test drive, and found that this car had no first or fourth gear. With the scan tool connected, I looked for codes set in memory, and none were found. My next step was to verify the transmission fluid level, which was also correct.
The next test was to use the scan tool and try to command shift solenoid A, shift solenoid B, and the TCC solenoid, while listening for an audible click. This test can also be done manually, with a current injection probe.
Ok, I could only hear the TCC solenoid operating. According to the wire diagram, the TCC solenoid has it's own power on pin A, and both shift solenoids share a power on pin E. Wow, Seems like we were having a .....

1996 Buick Riviera (Supercharged 3.8 V6)
This is an amazing nice car, we bought it in Arizona in 2001, and have had it ever since with absolutely NO problems. It has some small dings in the doors from inconsiderate people in parking lots and the chrome wheels are beginning to flake severely, but looks fantastic for a 13 year old car in PA.
My '95 Buick Riviera
This video is part of many videos from Car Day at my house. Car Day is when we take out all our Buicks, clean them up, then line them up for pictures. After that we take drive-by videos, at least on the cars that have changed or new cars we have. This is my '95 Riviera with a subtle but audible Supercharger whine. It's louder nowadays so maybe I'll take a new video soon.
