Snap-on tools / toolbox and garage tour
I was asked by a viewer of my channel to give a small tour of my tools and garage space. It's not intended as a review of any particular item but more just as an overview. If anyone wants me to review an item please feel free to comment in the comments section. Thanks for watching.

What's Inside EricTheCarGuy's Tool Box? - EricTheCarGuy
Well you asked for it, to be honest I didn't think it would take so long but it did. Now that I can post these longer videos I'm not concerned however. I feel like I covered it all in the video so I don't feel the need to write a long description on this one. I was serious about posting some video of your favorite tools and such, so post away!

How To Replace Drum Brake Shoes (Full) - EricTheCarGuy
How To Replace Drum Brake Shoes (Full) - EricTheCarGuy
http://www.ericthecarguy.com/
Here is a full length version of a video that I posted some time ago, this way you can watch the entire thing in one sitting instead of switching from one video to the next. If your watching this for the first time I'm aware that sandals are not the best thing to wear when doing auto repair. In addition there IS a jack stand just out of frame in the video I just leave the floor jack in place while I work normally where it is so that it's quicker to let the car down when I'm done.

How To Check A Charging System - EricTheCarGuy
How To Check A Charging System - EricTheCarGuy
http://www.ericthecarguy.com/
Well this is by request and is a companion to checking a battery so I think I'll post it as a response to that video. I try to make things easy for you and I think this test fits the bill, you can even use the same tester or just a regular DVOM which is something I think you should have if you are serious about working on cars, I hope to do an entire series on using one of these so be sure to have one.
As always thanks for watching and subscribing.

Basic automotive tools that every DIY person should have
A few folks who have watched my Trailblazer videos have asked some general questions about automotive tools. Is brand X any good? Do I need the fancy ratchet that you showed in your spark plug video? What tools should I buy? Some things are easier to say then to type, so I made this video.
These are the basic tools that I think everyone working in their driveway should have. I split this video up into three parts: hand tools, wheel and tire tools, and misc stuff.
Hand tools: things for everyday jobs like maintainence, changing light bulbs, interior trim removal, things like that
Wheel and tire tools: Tools for safely supporting your vehicle and doing things like rotating tires, swapping wheels, checking brakes, etc.
Misc: Basic diagnostic stuff, test equipment, and service info
I really didn't want the video to run as long as it did, but I felt that all of the stuff shown is important.
Now, as far as what brand is best, you can see that I use a variety of brands and don't really have a preference. I get what works for me. So if the Snap On 1/2" breaker bar works for me, I get it. If the harbor freight trim tool works for me, I get it. Get what works for you and fits your budget.
