1966 GTO - Tremec install Part 2
The Tin Man follows up part 1 with the installation of a Tinman Fabrication transmission tunnel cover and final placement of the T56 in this 1966 GTO. When you have a driveshaft cut for your T56 transmision it will be approximately 4" shorter than stock. If you have a high horsepower motor consider getting a large 1350 slip yoke — the 1966 GTO in this video has an 800hp Chevy Big Block. A 1330 slip yoke is a slight step down for moderately powered motors. Tinman's crossmember for GM A bodies will be available soon. 1959 Plymouth Viper Hot Rod with Dana 60 and Tremec T56
I now have the 59 Plymouth Viper drivable and have put on about 300 miles. It drives straight, stops straight, and has unbelievable torque. The controls, shifter, and pedals all feel like a factory installation. The Nitto drag radial in the rear are amazing. I am going to take it to Firebird Raceway to see what it will do, and I also want to install AC for the AZ summer! It appears my goal of a very fast and very reliable driver that I won't see another one like it at the cruise show is nearing completion.





91 camaro 350 with t56 transmission
Alright, I am a little shaky in the video, but it was pretty cold out today, rained and was 40* out and my car wasnt tuned and it was running rich, so that's explain the weird sound, but it sure as hell sound nice!! Rate please!
