The RM500 Genesis Coupe is a 450-horsepower machine with a distinct, production-ready look. This marks the fourth year of the partnership between RMR and Hyundai creating show-stopping vehicles for tuners and consumers alike. "From the moment I saw the Tau V8 engine in the Genesis R-Spec sedan, I knew it would be a perfect fit for the Genesis Coupe, adding even more performance and power to the dynamic coupe," said Rhys Millen, owner, Rhys Millen Racing. "The sleek and practical exterior modifications would allow this Genesis Coupe to look good parked in your driveway or turning laps at the track." In addition to the Tau V8, the all-black Genesis Coupe receives a custom RMR stainless Exhaust with GReddy rear section muffler and titanium tips, oil cooler and rear differential cooler. These mechanical enhancements give Hyundai's most powerful engine an extra 20 horsepower Boost. "The RMR RM500 Genesis Coupe is a natural home to showcase the performance capabilities of the powerful Tau V8 engine, available in the 2012 Genesis sedan," said Mike O'Brien, vice president, Product and Corporate Planning, Hyundai Motor America. "Rhys Millen Racing has taken the Tau's power and the Coupe's tuner-friendly driving architecture to create a true show-stopper for SEMA this year." The RMR RM500 unveils a new line of RMR products for the Genesis Coupe, featuring a RMR carbon front lip, carbon spoiler, carbon rear diffuser, carbon side skirts, carbon fog light ducts and carbon grill. The Genesis Coupe also showcases HRE 793-RS 19-inch wheels, Hankook Ventus R-S3 tires and Brembo carbon ceramic rotors with Brembo six and four piston calipers. The inside of the vehicle features the RMR suede trim package and Sparco accents. With the 2011 SEMA Show slowly creeping up, companies are fast preparing models for their Las Vegas display. Come November 1st, Hyundai will be ready to take center stage with their new Veloster, but ARK Performance may have a sleek and sporty rally car alternative that may steal the spotlight. "The Hyundai Veloster is an ideal car for enthusiasts with its distinctive design and dynamic architecture," said Ted Lee, owner, ARK Performance Inc. "At SEMA, our ARK Performance Veloster will bridge the realm between an affordable sports car and an extreme motor sports vehicle. ARK Performance is offering several modifications for the the exterior and interior of the Veloster, but have also added many engine upgrades that will surely Boost performance.

2011 Chevrolet Camaro Hot Wheels Concept (2011 SEMA Auto Show)
If you played with Hot Wheels as a kid (or as an adult, as some on the Autoblog team have admitted to doing), then you've probably imagined what it would be like to have the thing in full size. Chevrolet has tried to make that a reality, creating a Camaro concept car inspired by the "Custom Camaro" 1/64-scale model that was part of the original Hot Wheels collection released in 1968. Making its debut at SEMA today, the Camaro Hot Wheels Concept features chrome green paint, ghosted Hot Wheels logos on the fenders, satin black wheels, a Euro-style rear fascia and taillights and black aluminum hood insert with milled heat extractors. Under the hood is the standard LS3 V8.

2013 Hyundai Genesis Coupé Hurricane SC (Rendering)
A rendering of a new Hyundai. -Info- The Genesis Coupé Hurricane SC is a special edition prototype of the Genesis Coupe, developed by Hyundai America Technical Center Inc. (HATCI) in cooperation with Magnuson Products, Rhys Millen Racing, Harman International and Torvec Inc. The car is the result of a two year development, with much work spent to enhance all aspects of the vehicle including power, traction, braking, exterior and interior design and audio system. The Hurricane SC is powered by a 3.8L V-6 engine with a liquid to air Intercooler, producing more than 450 hp. The unit is mated to a specific IsoTorque differential with improved handling and traction capability. Beyond the engine, Genesis Hurricane SC has a long list of interior and exterior specialty modifications. Among these are the front bumper, grille, hood, side skirts, all provided by Rhys Millen Racing (RMR). Additional highlights include 19-inch wheels, a free flowing Exhaust system and air intake and upgraded LED headlights and taillights provided by FlyRyde. Among the interior enhancements are a Harman International high level Lexicon audio system that was and Katzkin custom premium leather and suede seats accented with blue inserts. Mechanically, the Hurricane SC has Bilstein monotube shock absorbers and springs with adjustable ride height tuned on the Nurburgring in Germany and a Brembo six piston brake kit with cross drilled front and rear rotors. The engine also received a SPEC lightweight single mass aluminum flywheel and stage two clutch, DeatschWerks high flow fuel pump and 600cc injectors, Perma-Cool oil, differential and steering coolers and a custom CPR Fabrication billet aluminum oil filter adapter.

We were able to interview John Krafcik as he tells us a bit more about the Veloster turbo announcement he made at SEMA, along with exciting news of what's to expect in the next few months. The Genesis Hurricane SC made its debut today at the SEMA Show next to a very impressive Hyundai line-up. The new model has been developed in cooperation with Magnuson Products, Rhys Millen Racing, Harman International and Torvec Inc. and is just another proof of how cool the Genesis Coupe can be. Magnuson was responsible for the engine upgrades. They have equipped the 3.8 liter V-6 engine with a liquid to air Intercooler for a total output of more than 450 HP. Torvec Inc. has been developing its IsoTorque differential with improved handling and traction capability. Rhys Millen Racing (RMR) was responsible for the exterior. They added a new front bumper, grille, hood, side skirts, diffuser, and rear deck with spoiler. The car has also received high performance 19-inch wheel and tire assemblies, a RMR free flowing Exhaust system, and an air intake. The interior gets a Harman International high level Lexicon audio system, custom premium leather, and suede seats accented with blue inserts.
