My Janspeed Mini Cooper-S
This is the highlights of my Janspeed Mini Cooper S car that was used in
the famous enthusiast video Janspeed DIY Mini, produced by my company. The
car was stripped down to the last nut and bolt. It was designed by their
race team along with the legendary David Vizard and then built by
Janspeed's race engine builders. Even the body was rebuilt from scratch!
The car also featured in a magazine article as one of the fastest ever road
Minis! It's a blindingly quick car and will easily embarrass many hot
hatches of today. See the details on its website.
Can-Am Maverick X-RS 2013 Test at Azuza Canyon OHV Park
This is my 2013 Can-Am Maverick X-RS Test at Azuza Canyon OHV Park. I am in
the car with black trim and the spare tire, IN FRONT OF THE CAMERA... Max
is driving the camera car... If you want to see a few short clips where I
actually get to use the gas in the demo drive skip to 6:40 . The only time
I was able to use the gas at all was to hang back from thr group and create
a gap and gas it for a second, none the less I was able to get a feel for
the car... and it seems awesome! Just a TOTAL guess but I feel it has to at
least be as good as the Polaris through the whoops, but Ive never driven
one... AGAIN I AM THE CAR WITH BLACK TRIM DIRECTLY IN FRONT OF THE CAMERA
P.S. I ended up buying an Arctic Cat Wildcat instead...
Thanks for watching!
Mini Cooper "S" Engine Noise - Rattle
MINI Cooper "S" Timing Chain Rattle Noise follow this link:
Vehicles affected: Mini Cooper "S" R55, R56 all models with the N14 engine
produced between 2006 to May 4th 2009.
Symptom: Early symptoms of chain tensioner failure on the R56, R55 is a
slight rattling sound from the passenger side of the engine valve cover,
even with engine running but not driven. The rattle sound will increase
with speed, but go away when the engine reaches approximately 1800 R.P.M.
The sound will return when the engine returns to lower R.P.M.s during
deceleration or idle. In early stages this sound may be more pronounced at
colder temperatures, but in more severe cases the sound and vibration will
be heard at all temperatures.

Alta MINI Cooper Hot Side Turbo Boost Tube / Muffler Delete Pipe / Test Pipe Install
MINI Cooper Hot Side Boost Tube
This is a quick easy, reasonably cheap upgrade that could be done with only
a flat head screw driver. Making your daily driver more fun with better
fuel economy and faster 0 to 60.
The MPG gains won't be huge, but if your car breathes better it goes faster and gets more miles to the
About the Product:
In many cases MINI takes steps to help hide the true soul of a turbo. The Boost tubing is no exception. MINI engineers
attempted to remove some turbo and Boost noise by placing of all things a
muffler in the Boost tubing. In the
same fashion as an Exhaust muffler is
restrictive to performance, so is this! ALTA product designers created a
simple, attractive way to remove the this muffler and increase performance.
The ALTA turbo Hot Side Boost Tube replaces the restrictive plastic
and rubber OEM piece with a 5-ply silicone, fiber reinforced tube. With a
mirror smooth interior surface, larger diameter and tapered transitions,
you get a dramatic decrease in restriction and turbulence.
By removing the muffler you get a nice mellow tone to the turbo and a leap forward in power. The silicone
hose is restriction free with its smooth surfaces and larger internal
With the features listed above you get much better Boost response and more horsepower! According to
Alta's Dyno Charts you
get 10 WHP and10 Ft-Lbs Torque.
2012 MINI Cooper S versus Fiat 500 Abarth 0-60 MPH Mashup Review
( http://www.TFLcar.com ) Perhaps the car that most closely competes with
the 2012 Fiat 500 Abarth is the equally diminutive MINI Cooper S. Both
cars are tiny European hot hatches that make driving fun. Both cars are turbo charged and both cars will easily
spin their from wheels when you slam down the accelerator. We also think
that both cars will appeal to the same car shopper. So which of these two
mini-rockets is faster to 60 MPH?
Is it the Brit or the Italian. Check out this video to find out.

World's fastest Minis - Mini JCW GP vs ZCars Mini Busa - autocar.co.uk
The Mini JCW GP is the fastest production Mini ever built, according to
BMW. They may well be right, but we've found what could be the fastest Mini
ever, the ZCars Mini Busa.
SUBSCRIBE to Autocar:
The Mini JCW GP is the ultimate incarnation of the latest Mini, with 215bhp
from its turbocharged 1.6-litre engine
launching it to 62mph in 6.2 seconds. But is it the fastest Mini you can
buy? Its competition could be a kit car from the North East of England
called the ZCars Mini Busa. It features a tubular construction and
fibreglass panels resulting in a 550kg kerbweight and a 0-60mph sprint of
3.9 seconds thanks to its screaming 194bhp Suzuki Hayabusa superbike
