A common problem with Ford Triton engines is that they will blow the spark plug out, usually # 3 or # 4 on the passenger side. Some people say the only repair is to take the head off. There is a tool designed to drill out, re-tap, & install an insert. I've done it many times and so far they all are still holding. 2006 Ford Escape XLS - Accessory Drive Repair
Replacing the Serpentine Belt, Tensioner & Idler Pulleys on a 2006 Ford Escape XLS 2.3L I4 w/5-Speed Manual Transmission and A/C installed.
The Symptom was Drive Belt Noise.
Troubleshot by removing Old Drive Belt to check all Accessory Pulleys. Found Idler Pulley with a little too much Play and the Tensioner spring seemed a bit weak.
