Всего через несколько минут мы паркуемся у красивого здания с массивной эмблемой Pagani, окруженного живой изгородью из кустарника. На крыше этого самого здания -- флагшток с жовто-блакитным стягом. Вот это уровень! Похоже, нас здесь действительно ждут!

На различных автосалонах я неоднократно видел разные модификации Zonda, но оценить ее изгибы на открытом воздухе в этот раз доводилось впервые. Смотрящие в душу четыре глаза головной оптики... закрылки антикрыльев а-ля рули высоты боевого самолета F22 Raptor... фюзеляж кабины... А этот «Гатлинг» четырехствольной выпускной системы! Несмотря на то что машине уже 10 лет, выглядит она до сих пор футуристично и первозданно-привлекательно. Разве что синий цвет -- дело вкуса. Но здесь, похоже, мой вкус совпадает со вкусом ее создателя.

The Bentley Continental GT is a stylish, luxury performance car that is designed to carry up to four people in supreme comfort at speeds of up to 200mph. Boasting sharper styling, and with a considerable weight saving, the second generation Bentley Continental GT has slightly better fuel consumption and lower emissions than the outgoing model. The luxury interior maintains a sporting theme combining hand-crafted wood, leather and aluminium. The GT comes with a choice of two engines, a tweaked version of the proven twin-turbo 6.0-litre W12 unit, which is available in the standard GT and the even more powerful GT Speed. Then there's a 4.0-litre, twin-turbo V8 that returns combined economy of 27mpg - 10mpg more than the W12. Driving all four wheels through a six or eight speed automatic gearbox, performance is very impressive. Competition comes in the form of Aston Martin's Virage and the Ferrari California.

(Frankfurt 12 September, 2011) Taking cues from its GT coupe sibling launched last year, the new Continental GTC builds on the highly successful foundation of the previous cabriolet, which premiered in 2006. Bentley's design and engineering teams have improved virtually every aspect of the iconic convertible with an uncompromising focus on quality.
While the first Continental GTC was elegant and understated, the sharper radii and assertive stance of the new model delivers a more contemporary and muscular presence. Advanced manufacturing techniques produce aluminium front wings without the need for seams or welds creating the look and feel of a coachbuilt car. Twenty-inch wheels are now standard with three styles of 21-inch wheel, a first for GTC, available as an option, reinforcing the distinctive, sporting stance of the new Bentley.
The four-seater luxury convertible features a new, even more spacious and sumptuous hand-crafted cabin, with soft-touch leather hides, an extensive range of wood veneers, cool-touch metals and deep-pile carpets. There are 17 standard soft-touch leather hide colours with six colour split combinations, complemented by a range of seven veneers, all produced by Bentley's talented craftsmen and women.
The GTC's renowned coupe-like refinement is also enhanced. The tailored, multi-layered fabric hood is complemented by acoustic glass and under-body panels, for optimum noise isolation.
Superb everyday practicality for a luxury convertible was a hallmark of the original GTC and much valued by its customers. The cabin of the new GTC is now even more practical, with additional rear legroom, new storage solutions and innovative features such as touch-screen infotainment, automatic seat-belt presenters and a Bentley-designed Neck Warmer for comfortable roof-down motoring whatever the temperature.
A wider track, front and rear, sharper steering and retuned suspension provide a more exhilarating and class-leading drive. Bentley's advanced all-wheel drive system features a new 40:60 rear torque bias (compared with 50:50 of the original GTC) minimising understeer during hard cornering and allowing the spirited driver to manage the car's line and balance via precise throttle control.
This compelling dynamic package is combined with a more powerful 6.0-litre, twin-turbocharged W12 engine as well as a new QuickShift transmission enabling faster gear changes than ever before. Power output is raised from 560PS to 575PS (567bhp/423kW) and the famed Bentley 'wave of torque' has been increased by a further 50Nm to 700Nm (516lb ft).

Bentley has just begun selling the second generation of its luxury convertible line - which is also the most powerful rag-top in the world.
Five years after the first Continental hit the streets, all its features have been revamped. As usual, Bentley offers an almost limitless choice of tailor-made interiors. And under the hood, consumers will find a completely newly developed engine that delivers 423 kilowatts of power that can sling the GTC from 0 to 100 kilometers an hour in 4.8 seconds. Yet this dream on wheels comes at a price. In Germany, it sells for about 202,400 euros.

Когда у какого-либо массового производителя в линейке появляется новый мотор, порою это проходит незаметно для обывателей. Но в случае с эксклюзивной дорогой британской маркой все по-другому. До этого года потенциальным владельцам моделей Continental GT и GTC был доступен уже ставший легендарным W12 Twin turbo, созданный из посаженных на один коленвал двигателей VR6. Стоит отметить, что компания из Крю -- крупнейший в мире производитель двигателей W12.
Для законченных аристократов ценящих непревзойденный британский шик в модели Mulsanne, устанавливается мотор V8 6 ¾ литра, который выпускается с 1959 года (!), правда с большими переработками и совсем архаичным его назвать трудно. Вот и вся история с двигателями Bentley, а ведь мир меняется стремительно, словно «летящая шпора», и самый трендовый производитель luxury-автомобилей знает об этом не по-наслышке, ведь несмотря на сильный рост продаж прошлого года, предкризисных результатов достичь не удалось.
За нами как всегда прислали чартер, на этот раз под флагом Iberia Regional, который высадил нас в богом забытом аэропорту Логроньо. И это не преувеличение, в Испании тяжелейший кризис, а у туристов «несезон». Но это не помешало Bentley Motors забазироваться в самом дорогом отеле Пиренейского полуострова Marques de Riscal.
В предыдущих сериях Bentley First-Drive (прошлые номера #1MAG) мы подробно рассказали о вторых поколениях Continental GT и GTC. Основное и существенное различие заключается в сердце. Новый двигатель действительно революционный для компании. Динамические характеристики и показатели экономичности поражают. На одном баке можно спокойно доехать из Алматы до Шымкента, теперь Conti тратит на 40% меньше бензина и имеет небольшой уровень выбросов CO2 (если это кого-то волнует в Казахстане). Цилиндры могут отключаться автоматически, обеспечивая плавный и незаметный переход с режима V8 на V4 при малых нагрузках (как на Mulsanne). Мотор также оснащен системой прямого впрыска топлива высокого давления, подшипниками с низким коэффициентом трения, системой распределения тепла, системой рекуперации энергии через систему зарядки и располагает инновационной компоновкой турбин, повышающей их эффективность. Все это дополняется суперсовременной 8-ступенчатой коробкой Speedshift. В экстерьере сразу бросаются в глаза красные эмалированные значки Bentley в виде крылатой литеры "B" над передней решеткой, на крышке багажника и в центре колесных дисков.

Компания Bentley показала новейшее поколение Continental GTC кабриолет. Это уже второе поколение Бентли с открытым верхом.
Bentley Continental GTC 2012 имеет стальной корпус-монокок, длину 4806 мм, ширину 1943 мм, высоту 1403 мм, а также колесную базу 2746 мм. Вес новинки составляет 2495 кг или 5501 фунтов.
Новый Bentley Continental GTC использует 6-литровый турбо W12 двигатель, имеющий мощность около 567 л.с. (423 кВт) при 6000 оборотов в минуту. Автомобиль оборудован 6-ступенчатой автоматической коробкой переключения передач.
Согласно заявлениям представителей компании, новый Bentley Continental GTC может разгоняться с 0 до 60 миль / час всего за 4,5 секунды и от 0 до 100 км / ч за 4,8 секунды. Автомобиль может достигать максимальной скорости в 195 миль / час или 314 км / час.

The new Bentley Mulsanne is a high-end luxury car produced by Bentley Motors Limited in the United Kingdom.[4] The name is derived from Bentley's historical racing pedigree, which included five victories at the 24 Hours of Le Mans — the Mulsanne Straight being the stretch of the Le Mans racing circuit where cars reach their highest speeds.
Bentley's new flagship model brings back the Mulsanne nameplate last used in 1992, and replaces the Bentley Arnage. The Mulsanne was unveiled at the 2009 Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance, on 16 August 2009. Coupe and convertible variants are expected to follow at some point as replacements for the Arnage-based Brooklands and Azure respectively.[5]
Like the Arnage, the Mulsanne retains the iconic 6.75 L (6750 cc/411 in³) OHV V8 engine, albeit heavily modified to meet Euro V emissions regulations. To achieve improved fuel consumption, the re-designed engine is lighter and features cylinder de-activation and variable cam phasing.[6] Unlike the less expensive Bentley Continental Flying Spur and Bentley Continental GT, the Mulsanne shares very few components with other marques in the Volkswagen Group.[7]
The Mulsanne is also notable as it is the first flagship car to be independently designed by Bentley Motors in nearly 80 years; the last being W.O. Bentley's iconic 8 litre model in 1930.[8] Afterward, most Bentleys had shared platforms with Rolls-Royce cars.[7]
The Mulsanne aims to recreate as much of Bentley's heritage as possible. For instance, the stainless steel knobs on the dashboard that control the vent plungers are electronic micro switches that send signals to the digital servos that handle the job. However, Bentley engineers painstakingly replicated the feedback of a precisely polished steel rod sliding over smooth felt to pull a soft leather damper closed.[9] Other touches of Bentley history include the very large wheels with small sidewalled tyres, which give an echo of the ride comfort qualities of 1920's Bentleys.
In the United Kingdom, the 2011 Mulsanne costs from £225,900 and in the US from $285,000. The first vehicle produced, chassis number one, was sold in August 2009 at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance auction for $550,000.[10]
Each car takes twelve weeks to produce,[11] and customers will have a choice of 114 paint colours, 21 carpet colours, nine wood veneers and 24 interior leather hides, and be able to specify a custom colour scheme. Additionally, the car has more advanced technology compared with the Arnage, and can be specified to feature a Naim 2200w audio system complete with MP3 compatibility, with Bluetooth and an advanced MMI capability.
At the 2011 Los Angeles Auto Show, the Executive Interior Concept (EIC) contains many technologies commonly found in offices to assist executives while on the road. The rear passenger area features three LCD screens powered by an Apple Mac mini located in the trunk, with additional iPads in fold out trays connected through Bluetooth keyboards. Additional features include in-car wifi, iPods with docking stations, and integration of the many devices to the car's Naim audio system.
