The Volkswagen Amarok auto test drive
Borrowed the brand new VW Amarok ute from Burwin VW in Mountain Gate, Victoria, for a test drive. Took it for a quick spin through the Dandenong Ranges and got stuck behind a slow moving tourist. First, some footage from the outside and interior (plus a couple other manual Roks), then a drive. The demo model is a Highline model.
Notice how quiet this huge (6' tall) ute is! That 2l twin turbo engine has so much get up and go, and the 8(!) speed auto box is freakily quiet. The only thing you notice when changing gears is the engine note changes briefly. It's so smooth there's no clunk or vibration. And fast too; I had it in 5th gear at 40kph in a heartbeat.
Pardon the bouncing camera; all I had was the Flip :) The Rok is dead steady on the road and very smooth. Great suspension and huge tyres roll over everything easily. Truly the easiest ute I have ever driven, it feels and handles like a small sedan.

Volkswagen Amarok Automático TEST DRIVE 260 KM Circuito Misto 2°PARTE
O Veículo se comportou muito bem no percurso que foi feito totalizando 260 km sendo + ou - 160 em estrada e +ou- 100 km em estradas de terra batida esburacadas, quem conhece a área do areal de Seropédica sabe como é.....
Levamos este veículo para 6 clientes testarem e não fiz imagens deles, pois teriamos de pagar direitos e etc.... por esse motivo não há muitas imagens do teste na estrada de terra, tentarei postar posteriormente.
