Driving the M22
My first attempt at a video while driving. Just rebuilt the 455 stage 1 and M22 4-speed in this 1971 Buick GS convertible and the gears whining in the M22 "rockcrusher" really took me back to the '70s and '80s when these transmissions were the "holy grail" of GM gearboxes. I will do a feature on this rare and unusual Buick soon...
Twin Turbo Buick 350 Skylark Part 2
Man what a lame video. Mostly was for the folks at V8Buick to see the progress. See the Buick's entire story and evolution at BurtonMachine.com.
I like Cobras, they taste like chicken
I had a chance a few weekends ago to drag race Eleanor (my '67 Shelby Mustang) at a local car show hosted by a KCIR (Kansas City International Raceway) and the local AC Cobra Club. I have never drag raced before and this car was not built to race but I wanted to try it anyway. In this clip I raced an AC Cobra and it was a pretty bad beat. I did race other Cobras that day and they were faster than this one but still none beat me. That's not too bad considering my car weighs about 1,000 lbs more than a Cobra and my engine is a 392 stroker vs. a 427 or 428 in a Cobra. I ran the 1/4 mile in the high 12 second range and this was probably my fastest run at 106 mph and a .67 sec. response time off the tree. I didn't run the Nitrous as I don't have everything dialed in yet -- maybe next time. Anyway, drag racing is addicting so hopefully I can do it again when I don't have the car in shows. (P.S. I am the Mustang in the right lane for you non car buffs).
