Odometer/Gear Shifter (PRNDL) Display FIX - GMC/Chevy
Common problem from 1999 - 2002 GMC/Chevy Trucks with the odometer/gear shift all in one display. Some were not completely soldered all the way from factory causing an intermittent flicker and eventually nothing on the display. In my case, it was just a loose / dirty connection at the top of the cluster. The circuit board was also really dirty so I cleaned it as best as I could. That combined with a shot of white lithium grease to the pin connector fixed my problem. The truck was flooded at the end because i was fooling with the ignition a lot without running the engine.
