This is another Chrome Angels 62' Impala SS. Car is mostly stock except the 383 stroker and a th400 tranny. New brakes, shock, glass paks, etc.... California car bought from the second owner. Car was painted in the late 70's with black lacquer. Car is unmolested with very minimal rust. Excellent start for a badass ride.

From the "you couldn't restore it for the asking price" files comes this freshly restored 1962 Impala SS. If you're a Chevy fan, this is the car for you: a 4-speed, 350, with all the right stuff.
Bright red is the color most folks imagine when they picture a '62 Impala in their minds, and this one is every bit as nice as the fantasy. First-rate bodywork gives all the panels a fresh, crisp, detailed, and wave-free look. The panel gaps, door and trunk lips are excellent throughout. All of the chrome and stainless is bright and shiny. The paint is pure red with a brilliant shine that should last for decades given the right care.
Fresh and exceptionally well detailed, the engine bay in this car has "show winner" written all over it. From the Chevy Orange paint that's as good as the paint on my daily driver to the chassis black paint on the innder fenders, to the clean firewall, it is sanitary and brilliantly executed. A new alternator, chrome water pump, polished aluminum valve covers, Performer intake and Holley Carb are just some of the stand out features of this Impala. There is also a new fuel pump, new radiator, coated Exhaust manifolds, and an SSBC power brake set-up with a new master cylinder. The casting number on the motor is 3956618, which is a 350. The motor has a 4' bore and a 350 crank, which adds up to 355 cubic inches. It starts with a bark, and rumbles at idle.
The only transmission you want with your 350 is a Muncie 4-speed, which is exactly what we have here. The chassis has been well cared for over the years. The frame is in excellent shape. The floorboards have been lightly undercoated; there is not a spot of rust or a patch to be found. The pinch welds on the rockers are super clean, and the drain holes show no signs of rot whatsoever. The dual Exhaust system with Flowmaster mufflers sounds awesome. Air shocks, drum brakes, and power steering make it a pleasure to drive, and it truly does cruise effortlessly. Sitting at all four corners are American Racing wheels.
The interior is simply beautiful, dressed in contrasting black and red to match the exterior. Pure '60s elegance all the way, with a sporty vibe, that was the Impala SS. The black bench seats, matching door panels, carpet and headliner are in 'like-new' condition. All of the gauges are clear, the dash is in great shape, and the custom steering wheel really stands out, in a good way. Check out that unique Chevy floor shifter too! Out back, the trunk is nicely finished with a spare tire.
