6th Order Compound Loaded Isobaric Bandpass Box - 2 12" Woofers

This is a box i used to build back in the early 90's. It is a compound Isobaric (push/pull) 6th order bandpass. The woofers back then used to work good in a box like this. It has been a while since i even thought of something like this so i figured i would try. Since it needs to be built IN to the car, i need to do all of my experimenting outside of the car and see how it sounds. After hearing it, i know I need to do further testing and tuning before i decide to make it permanent. It's a fun box to build but i don't think it is going to work out. I will make my decision tomorrow but more then likely i will be going to "plan B". I figured you guys would like to at least see my attempt. If you ask me, this could be the actual definition of "woofer pr0n" :D They are gettin it on for sure! video response to steve meade and psyph morrison. granted its no steve meade 30,000 watt system its pretty loud. gotta love psyph. harder than i thought trying to find somewhere to play it without getttin bitched at by someone. two lanzar opti 15's, a lanzar 3500 amp, 9 pc680 batts, 0 gauge all the way, pioneer 3200dvd head unit, custom box tuned to about 38 htz. no where near done with the box. it will look better once its painted and stuff but its not too bad.

Lexus LFA High Speed Sweeping Tunnel Pass ISF
More video's of the incredible Lexus LFA from my boy Jay-birds camera (iphone 3gs). He was driving my ISF (following) and got some video of us rolling through the streets of L.A. I also found a clip of me passing him like he is standing still inside of the tunnel. That tunnel was so much fun we did it twice. How did this all happen? Why was i driving a car like this? One day i got a tweet from Lexus HQ - they invited me down to drive the LFA for 30 minutes, for no reason other then to just come check it out. It turned out to be almost 2 hours. This car is CRAZY...the acceleration and the sound is like no other......V10, Tuned by Yamaha, no Supercharger, no turbo's.....all motor. The 15" Woofer Challenge (RESULTS) - 3 Brands 3 teams, best box wins BIG (VID 2 of 2)
The First SMD 15" Woofer Contest - Best box wins! 6 catagories, 3 teams, 3 different (similar spec) brands. Catagories are: Loudest Average Loudest 20-80hz Look Speed Durability bonus for Trunk 1st worth 15pts, 2nd worth 10pts, and 3rd worth 5. Is your box loud but ugly? You might not win! Is it pretty but shitty (sounding)? It might not win.......is it stout or will it shatter the first night playing it? I will be looking at wiring, structure, cleanliness of boards (lined up), and bracing. The entire back seat all the way to the B-Pillar is available but If they choose to put the box in the trunk, they get a 10 point bonus. Is this contest perfect, NO...is it fun and will i get better as a host? I HOPE SO! Thanks for watching! The video was running long so i decided to do it in 2 parts. I put the word out on my website and facebook last week and only a couple people showed up. It was partly my fault, it was short notice. I dont like putting my address on the net for too long so short notice seemed to be a good idea. Most the locals know where i am at anyway. I put the word out the following Saturday (the day in the video) and it was the same thing, only a couple showed up. I HAD to call in some friends and said "FUCK IT, you guys want in?" Of course they did. Nobody in the competition is a pro and it was a lot of fun. I shouldnt have to explain myself but i figured i would in case someone tries to call me out. Some jackass did in the last video comments. Anyway, Ask anyone in the competition, it was 100% on the level. Next time, maybe some of the people who flaked out will see im serious when i say BIG prizes. Lexus ISF vs Mustang GT - No Spray Required.
I never do this......and i don't even think i went past 5 grand. Car redlines at 7. I had a redbull in my ballsack and wasn't expecting this. On my way to work. Drinking a RedBull. Changing Station to Howard Stern. Looks in Mirror. A Mean looking 'Stang weaving, trying to get with me says "light turns green, go" Tosses iphone 4s to Psyph. Psyph barely starts cam in time. 130lbs of BASS in the trunk. No NOS required. (bottle wasn't even open) I did not start this and i don't think im the coolest. Just had to handle business. Props to the GT.

Why is it better then the traditional Oscilloscope (for gain setting)? Because we are looking for distortion, not [just] clipping. If you used an O-scope to set your gains, chances are you already have experience and know what you are doing.
