Mounting a HF 2000lb ATV Winch to Trailer Hitch
Making a mount to attach the Harbor Freight 2000lb UTV/ATV to the 1 1/4"
Hitch on my car.
I just needed a small and cheap winch to lower a piece of machinery into my

sells is too big, would need an adapter for my 1 1/4" hitch, cost more than
I paid for the winch and the bolt pattern doesn't match as it isn't
designed for this winch.
So I bought a 1 1/4" to 2" Hitch Adapter 65023, welded (poorly...) two
pieces of square tube for the roller guide and drilled a few holes. Was
able to use the stock mounting screws.

The Intelligent Winch - 4X4
My name is Yair Bartal.
The Intelligent Winch is a new inovative winch invented and developed by
The system you can see in the film was built on the basis of my development
(US Patent No. 6523806).
In the film we used the first prototype which has been created in order to
prove the system's feasibility.
The film was shot from three diferent angles and was edited so that the
vehicle and the winch are synchronized in order to demonstrate how the
Intelligent Winch operates while changing the angle of the cable to account
for the vehicle's movemennt (inclined on it's side, climbing on a boulder).
I intend to commercialize the Intelligent Winch and will be glad to recieve
