ATV Homemade Snowblower 2009 Snow test run

First test run of the ATV homemade snowblower / snow thrower on a Feb 2009 snow storm. The driveway is about 900 feet long 4 car wide at the top. The 11 hp Honda never even bogged down. Need about 1-2 feet or snow for a real test... C'ya in 2010

ATV Homemade Snowblower
Took a 42" two stage snow thrower attachment for a ford LGT garden tractor and cut-butchered-welded it up to fit the front of my ATV. So far did a test run in heavy wet snow It works, drives, pushes, better then I thought it would. Thing is built like a tank And way cheaper then them nice new shiny $3000 - $5000 ATV blowers. I'll post more vids when its painted up and blowing 1-2 feet of snow. thnks4looking D~

1st snow to try out my hyd. blower. Learned a few things; move cable out so when you raise the blower, it does not rip the handle out, and #2 is to watch a little closer when you are close to the boulder in the front yard (yes, with a little help from a pipe wrench, it does straighten out). It doesnt throw it as far as I thought it would, max was 30 feet and this was a light snow and I was in 2nd gear. Heavy snows I will have to be in 1st I have a feeling. We recieved around 2 to 4 inches so I was blowing about 6 inch drifts (approximately).

ATV Snowblowing ...
Thanks large in part to my friend Lee, my ATV snowblower is really fun to use. We got about 8 inches of snow this morning and using it was a treat. So, I've always wanted to have a video of it doing it's thing, here it is. (I have a 1000 ft. driveway so ... this is just at the bottom of the driveway ... the main driveway is easier than even this) Addi is riding with me :)
