First test run of the ATV homemade snowblower / snow thrower on a Feb 2009 snow storm.
The driveway is about 900 feet long 4 car wide at the top. The 11 hp Honda never even bogged down. Need about 1-2 feet or snow for a real test... C'ya in 2010
Smokin Diesel truck mounted blower
Truck mounted snow blower clearing out back lot of snow. Compact from
previous storms. Still tuning motor fuel output and hydraulic flow to
auger assembly to improve ground speed. THANKS TO MUNCIE POWER FOR THE
CUSTOM PUMP SET UP. Dual 40 GPM"S with a 5.9 Cummins is a nice match up.
ATV Homemade Snowblower
Took a 42" two stage snow thrower attachment for a ford LGT garden
tractor and cut-butchered-welded it up to fit the front of my ATV. So far
did a test run in heavy wet snow It works, drives, pushes, better then I
thought it would. Thing is built like a tank And way cheaper then them nice
new shiny $3000 - $5000 ATV blowers. I'll post more vids when its painted
up and blowing 1-2 feet of snow.
Homemade Snowblower with Remote Control, Turbo Diesel
Customized older snow blower for front mounting on tractor. Engine VW 1,9
turbo Diesel. The differential is fixed
to be used as PTO. Remote control with 5m cable to operate it inside the
tractor. Shows: RPM, warning lamps for oil pressure and water temp. Switch
for RPM up or down.
The snow blower has it's own fuel tank, batteri and light.
A project for all guys that like to make things their own way :) Lots of
hours, lots of fun :)
ATV Snowblowing ...
Thanks large in part to my friend Lee, my ATV snowblower is really fun to
use. We got about 8 inches of snow this morning and using it was a treat.
So, I've always wanted to have a video of it doing it's thing, here it is.
(I have a 1000 ft. driveway so ... this is just at the bottom of the
driveway ... the main driveway is easier than even this) Addi is riding
with me :)
Deutz powered JD Snow Blower from Hell 2009
Chaleurs-Bay area home-made lightweight snow blower for a Cat-426 loader
backhoe hacked from an antique JohnDeere-270 blower ($500 & 1000lbs), the
legendary 70hp Deutz-F4L912 4-jug air cooled diesel ($1,400 & 700lbs)
cannibalized from a poclain shovel and some steel structurals. The impeller
was increased to 36" and transmission is a 4" Gates belt 2.5:1 driving the
modified original gearbox. Total weight about 2000 lbs. Controls are all
electrical, initially radio or lanyard with the radio system since removed
while looking for a reliable and safe 12 channel transceiver with triple
redundancy costing no more than $25. The design objective of throwing 4-6
inches of new snow about 100 feet laterally fed at 10-15 mph was fully met,
blower is now [2011-2012] doing its 3rd season without major maintenance!
I the inventor am looking to scrounge "free & new" stuff for a 400hp model
at the same weight throwing a 12" fall 100 feet vertically. Let's set up
snow-blower racing in ambient depth aiming for maximum vertical throw. More

homemade snowblower #4
1st snow to try out my hyd. blower. Learned a few things; move cable out so
when you raise the blower, it does not rip the handle out, and #2 is to
watch a little closer when you are close to the boulder in the front yard
(yes, with a little help from a pipe wrench, it does straighten out). It
doesnt throw it as far as I thought it would, max was 30 feet and this was
a light snow and I was in 2nd gear. Heavy snows I will have to be in 1st I
have a feeling. We recieved around 2 to 4 inches so I was blowing about 6
inch drifts (approximately).
homebuilt - homemade atv snowblower at work
This is my first time out with my home built atv snow blower. It works
great. It cost me about five hundred bucks to build, and my time. The
thirteen horse motor on it throws light and heavy snow great.
