This is a compilation of clips of the Planes of Fame Museum's Corsair (Chino, California) and includes some clips of the Palm Springs Air Museum's own Corsair. Man, this thing just scoots, BIG TIME! Wow, just awesome!
Listen to the 2,000 horsepower generated by the 2,800 cubic inches of the supercharged, 18 cylinder Pratt & Whitney R-2800! You'll see during the flybys why the Japanese called this fighter the "Whistling Death."
This aircraft just leaps off the runway in just a few seconds, and remember, the manifold pressure used today for takeoff with 100-octane low-lead fuel is not anywhere near what could be used with the wartime, 130-octane+ fuel. Very impressive!

A big bunch of RC airplane crashes and a lot of slow motion replays
This is about 5 years worth of RC airplane crashes that I have shot, mostly at SCCMAS
I threw this together to play on a projector during our Christmas banquet so there are a lot of repeats. The cub crash was a "big deal" at our club so it shows up a lot.
There are a lot of repeated scenes in this video please don't be sad, repeats were desirable when I threw this together for the Christmas banquet, if somebody missed a crash they could see it again in a few minutes.
As for the slow motion please don't be sad that there are a lot of slow motion replays, I like slow motion & the guys in my club like the slow motion so they can analyze every aspect of the crash.
If you like this video, that's great, & I'm happy.
If you don't like this video please go away now, without telling me that you don't like this video for whatever reason. The guys at the Christmas banquet loved it.
Thanks, Walt

4 Jet Car Drag Race
Under the definition of "awesome" should be a picture of 4-jet cars racing! NMRA/NMCA All Star Nationals at ZMax Dragway in Charlotte, NC ended the night by lighting up ZMax's 4 drag lanes with the fire and the thunder of 4 jet turbine drag cars creating an estimated 24,000 HP on one track! The Embry Riddle dragster takes off and runs a 5-second quarter.
