The 2005 Audi A8 is a 4-door, up to 5-passenger luxury sedan, available in 3 trims, ranging from the Sedan to the L W12. Upon introduction, the Sedan is equipped with a standard 4.2-liter, V8, 335-horsepower engine that achieves 18-mpg in the city and 24-mpg on the highway. The L W12 is equipped with a standard 6.0-liter, W12, 450-horsepower engine that achieves 15-mpg in the city and 21-mpg on the highway. A 6-speed automatic transmission with overdrive is standard on both trims.

Completely redesigned for 2005, highlights of the new Audi A6 include a more powerful 3.2-liter V6 engine; an available adaptive air suspension; the inclusion of a Multi-Media Interface (MMI) system for stereo, navigation, and telematics control; and options such as Xenon headlights that swivel to illuminate around curves, keyless door locks and ignition starting, and radar-based cruise control.

Freshened sheet metal and Audi's new horse collar grille adorn the 2005.5 version of the Audi A4. Two new engines are also available: a 2.0-liter, turbocharged four-cylinder with FSI direct fuel injection, and a normally aspirated 3.2-liter V6 with direct fuel injection. Underneath, the suspension has been revised, the stability control now allows drivers to shut off the traction control function, and a new feature periodically dries the brakes in wet weather. A basic navigation system is standard on the 2005.5 A4, with a DVD-based version available.

2011 Audi A8 at Toronto Auto Show 2010
2011 Audi A8 at the 2010 Canadian International Auto Show in Toronto. This was its Canadian debut. The former A8 is my favorite luxury car, so I was eager to see the new one. While it's very nice, I feel it doesn't look as imposing as the last one.
