The BMW 750Li is all-new for 2009 and looking better than ever. Its 400-horsepower twin-turbo V8 makes it the closest thing to a "Motorsport" 7 Series we have ever seen. The Mercedes-Benz S550 is getting a face-lift next year, but the current model has held up well. And with a 382-horsepower V8 of its own, it doesn't give up much to the new BMW.

Just like a kid writing a 10th-grade term paper, the 2009 BMW 750i is just begging to mention the guy who said, "The successful revolutionary is a statesman, the unsuccessful one a criminal." In other words, one man's Thomas Jefferson is another's Guy Fawkes.
After being flamed with criticisms of its Bangle-butt styling and infernal iDrive controller, the last-generation BMW 7 Series seemed to be a shoo-in for criminal indictment. When this model was introduced back in 2002, car enthusiasts gathered with pitchforks in hand, carrying effigies of BMW chief designer Chris Bangle and yammering about an honored automotive brand being besmirched by styling blasphemy and misguided technological wizardry.
And yet the E65 has sold better than any of the three previous generations of the 7 Series, while both its controversial rear-end styling and iDrive control interface sprouted in copycat form all over the automotive landscape. Whatever you might say, the 2002-'08 BMW 7 Series has been undeniably successful — a revolutionary, not a criminal.
But like Thomas Jefferson, revolutionaries must move on and mellow through time. The all-new 2009 BMW 750i does just that, presenting a more enlightened approach to the full-size luxury flagship. The 2009 7 Series is quite simply one of the finest automobiles made today — no pitchforks needed.

Last May, the newly introduced Jaguar XF surprised us. It went head to head with the best midsize luxury sedans from Germany and came out on top. It was fast, comfortable and surprisingly competent through turns, but of course, that was the top-of-the-line supercharged model.
For 2010, the Jaguar XF gets a pair of all-new 5.0-liter V8s: one normally aspirated in the XF Premium, the other supercharged in the new XFR. We'll test an XFR soon, but today Inside Line is the first to take the new non-supercharged 5.0-liter-powered 2010 Jaguar XF Premium to the test track. Rated at 385 horsepower and 380 pound-feet of torque it's not quite as powerful as the former 4.2-liter supercharged V8, but it's close.
To see just how close, we brought back a 2009 BMW 550i to see how the new Jag stacks up when it's not getting help from a Supercharger. Given that the BMW is giving up 25 hp and 20 lb-ft of torque, we expected a close contest - and got one.

Following the debut of the new BMW 7 series, BMW AG presents now the BMW 760i and the BMW 760Li. The new cars combine a new twelve-cylinder all-aluminum power unit of 400kw/544hp and a maximum torque of 750 Newton-meters (553 lb-ft) from just 1,500 rpm with the brand-new eight speed automatic transmission. The wheelbase of both the BMW 760i and BMW 760Li is extended to 14 centimeters or 5.5" to improve the comfort of the passengers.

I had the opportunity to drive this beautiful BMW 760Li, but the driver in this video is a famous racedriver. At the end of the video you can see the 760Li filmed from a BMW M3 Competition Package! I've also driven that M3 but the driver at that moment was racedriver [Edit: removed] (yes, a girl!). The video of the M3 with REAL nice drifts will follow later!

BMW 750Li F02 Interior
The BMW F01 is an automobile platform expected to go into production in late 2008 as a replacement for the current 7 Series (BMW E65/E66) platform. The long wheelbase, codenamed BMW F02, will be longer by 14 cm (5.5 in) than BMW F01. It will be also equipped with a more intuitive iDrive system.
The current debate about this car revolves around what styling the car will appear with. This has become a very controversal topic ever since the (BMW E65/E66) platform was released to severe public scrunity for its dramatic departure from traditional BMW styling cues. BMW is expected to release a conservative design and has been showing concept cars that follow in a similar styling trend at autoshows for over a year in an attempt to acclimate the public to the new design cues ahead of the new car's release.
The most recent photos of the car reveal a large sedan that maintains the BMW E65/E66 roofline and general cabin size, but returns to the 7-series' roots with shorter front and rear overhangs. Most interesting is that BMW has decided to remove the large trunklid that was the most controversal of the BMW E65/E66's styling and interestingly enough has been one of the most mimicked styling trends in modern car design.
Fully undisguised product photos of the new 7 Series appeared on the net on the July 3, 2008. The new 7-Series loses much of its Bangle inspired design and looks more like a larger E60 5-Series, with a front end that takes from the BMW CS Concept.
Overall, BMW looks to release a conservative car with modest sporting cues that will be visually pleasing
Details are yet to emerge, however as reported BMW plans to use the F01 7-series to spearhead its move into hybrid engine technology.
The F01 platform is expected to underpin a smaller Rolls-Royce slotting in below the ultra-luxury Phantom, internally known as the Rolls-Royce "RR4". This $250,000 car would be assembled in Germany alongside the 7 Series and would share that car's future V12 engine.
