Front and Rear Jeep JK Fender Cutting from start to finish. Includes keeping fender liner.
Cut the fenders of your Jeep to give it a custom look and to allow room for larger tires. You do maintain your front fender liners. This DIY is for the front and rear fenders from start to finish and shows the Jeep articulating at the end with 35's and no rub.
How to Fix Faded Jeep Fender Flares
This is how I fixed my uncle's faded black plastic / vinyl fender flares on
No, it didn't screw up the paint.
No, the gas tank did not detonate.
Yes, it fucking worked.
Get over it, and move on.
Removing Graying from Jeep Wrangler Fender Flares with a Heat Gun
Remove the gray color from your Jeep Wrangler the easy way. Be CAREFUL! I'm
not going to be held responsible because you light your car on fire!
This method only works if you keep moving. If you hit your paint directly
it's probably going to blister. Use the low setting in warm weather. This
method is cheaper if you already own a heat gun, and is maybe more
environmentally friendly than using any a chemical solution. Is it the best
way? Who knows. It's just the way that worked for me.
The Jeep in the video is a 1997 Wrangler Sport 4.0.Unfortunately I only had
it for about a year after this video was made, but it did not fade back at
all during that time.

Hummer H2, H3 & H3T vs Jeep JK at Beasley Knob
3 Hummers (H2, H3, & H3T) and a Jeep JK hit 93C at Beasley Knob. At the
first big hill climb 5:00, the H3s both spun their tires until winching and
towing themselves out. There was a stock Nissan Pathfinder that made a
valiant effort, and made it just as far as the H3s before getting winched.
The H2 made it through, but I wasn't there to see it - had to leave the
park for a bit to get the wife. I filmed myself going up the same section,
and the jeep did not spin a tire at all. You can jump to 11:47 to see the
JK hit it.
IMO the H3s failed due to a lack of articulation - no flex whatsoever in
the front. One had lockers, the other only limited slip, but it didn't
make much of a difference.
