Stock Legacy GT/Spec B with MagnaFlow Exhaust. Before and After.
Fully Stock, 2008 Legacy Spec B before and after installation of a Magnaflow Exhaust. This Full bolt on CBE was installed in around 75 minutes with much ease and no problems- (just the attempt to make the tips perfect which took 1/3 of the 75 minutes).
Before I purchased the set up I was unable to find a video that truly showed the before and after and gave me the "real" sound from inside the car while actually driving. No Revving, No High RPMS, Just normal everyday driving. I love it and with it being on the cheaper side of CBE's, I hope you will too!
FYI: Normal computer speakers do not capture the sounds of the magnaflow Exhaust. If you have other speakers, plug them in so you can actually tell the difference.
3rd Gear RPM Stutter - 2009 Subaru Legacy GT
This video shows 3 different 3rd gear accelerations in a stock 2009 Subaru Legacy GT. Procedure used for acceleration: Slow down to 30-40MPH, put the automatic transmission in 3rd gear, floor-it constantly until the top range of the gear.
Any fluctuations of the RPM needle are not caused by driver input. These stutters are a result of Subarus poor tuning ability and refusal to correct this issue. Although these stutters are rather mild, the vehicle will occasionally lurch forward violently or fail to accelerate altogether endangering the vehicle, its passengers, and other vehicles nearby. This is a safety issue!
The first acceleration is in the lower-performance mode Intelligent. In this mode, the acceleration is almost always smooth and consistent.
The next acceleration is in Sport mode. Because of the mapping used, Sport mode is not as smooth as the Intelligent mode. However, in the second acceleration, no stuttering occurred.
In the third acceleration, an RPM stutter occurs around 4500 5000 RPM. The stutter manifests by a slowing in the engine output followed by an abrupt jump in engine RPM.
After analyzing this mild stutter, it became apparent that when accelerating with the stutter, not only did the car accelerate slower, but the RPM needle first slowed down and then moved more than 9 times faster than normal during the stutter!!!

2008 Legacy GT Magnaflow Cat-Back - Driving Around
Driving around town in a 2008 Subaru Legacy GT with a Magnaflow cat-back Exhaust. Rather than posting a video revving the piss out of the engine, this is just to give you a basic idea of what the Exhaust sounds like during normal every day driving. The video camera is sitting on top of the rear seat back.
This is a warm start-up, and all windows are up.
