Professor Plum twin-turbo kombi dyno session by WPVW
after many hours of research and delelopment the team @ WPVW get Professor Plum the twin-turbo kombi running and onto the Dyno for tune and set-up . The 2.4litre type-4 VW air-cooled engine is fitted with twin Garrett turbochargers and a programmable microtech fuel injection system. The engine is built with a comp ratio of 6.4:1 and is not currently fitted with an Intercooler. First power run on the Dyno produced 122bhp @ the wheels at just 4000rpm on 18psi Boost. The final tune we settled with was 115bhp @ the wheels at 5000rpm on 12psi Boost.

De eerste keer starten van een Porsche 914 motor nadat deze is ingebouwd in een Volkswagen 1303 kever uit 1975. De motor heeft voorheen in een Karmann Ghia gezeten. Her first time in a Porsche 911 GT3!
Inspired by the Porsche 997.2 GT3 introduction video, I wanted to try and create something similar using my GT3. The person in the video is a great friend; she's such a great sport.
This was her first time as a passenger in my car on the track. I think the video says more than anything I can write here. Hope you enjoy it :)
Porsche 914 2.4 Liter Engine, 2413cc Motor, Air cooled VW, Bus, Type 4, 2.0 IV
150 Hp Type IV high performance engine, 71mm stroke x 104mm bore. Scat C45 cam, polished intakes, 44mm x 38mm SS valves, 9.2:1 CR, dual 44mm Webers. I built this engine for my brother and while I was gone he shot the video with my test Exhaust removed. The good thing is that he the engine ran fine for the 3 years he had it so luckily he didn't hurt anything.

Many of us are dreamers, striving toward our dreams and goals, stopping at nothing to reach that finish line. Rolando Alvarado's 1965 Type II Volkswagen Bus took 30+ years to cross the metaphorical finish line - but what a great finish line to cross!
Growing up, Rolando was always a fan of the air-cooled Volkswagen scene and it quickly became a personal goal of his to acquire one. It was his father's 1954 European oval window VW Bug that got his heart pumping and started his love for the air-cooled engines. Despite that, it took a while for Rolando to realize his dream. It wasn't until 1980 that he finally got his very first VW. Of course, being the die-hard VW head that he is, it ended up being a 69' VW Bug.
The first time I laid eyes on this Bus, I just knew that there had to be a story behind it. To many, a Bus may just be another form of transportation, but to me this iconic Bus was a moment in a time when life was a lot simpler - the time of Wood Stock, hippies running through Haight and Ashbury in San Francisco, Jefferson Airplane...good times. During the photo shoot, this Bus almost became a time capsule to channel what life was like back then - an icon to remind us how things used to be. Read more...motormavens.com
