Renault Captur - Which? first drive
http://whi.ch/renaultcaptur This is a new kind of car for Renault. It's based on the Clio, but has chunkier styling, extra ground clearance and more interior space.
The Captur (pronounced 'Capture') taps into the trend for supermini-sized SUVs -- a market defined by the bug-eyed Nissan Juke, which defied expectations to become a huge sales hit.
Renault has also drawn inspiration from Mini, offering a wide range of 'personalisation' options -- from bonnet stripes to air vent sleeves. Despite appearances, though, the Captur isn't available with four-wheel drive.
The engine line-up at launch comprises 90bhp 0.9-litre petrol, 120bhp 1.2 petrol and 90bhp 1.5 diesel. The more powerful petrol engine comes with a twin-clutch automatic gearbox, which is optional on the diesel from summer 2013.
Captur prices start from £12,495 for the entry-level 0.9 petrol, up to £18,895 for a fully-loaded diesel auto.

The Audi Q3 is an automobile by Audi AG of Germany that is expected to debut commercially in 2011. The five-door coupe crossover will be aimed as more of a lifestyle/sports car, rather than for the family/off-road market its larger Q5 & Q7 siblings aim for. The Q3 will slot above the proposed Audi Q1. The car will use the Volkswagen Group A5 (PQ35) platform of the Volkswagen Golf Mk5, the same as the Volkswagen Tiguan/SEAT Tribu small SUVs. It will join the similarly-sized but competitive BMW X1 in the same model year for launch, and will be similar to the 2009-10 launch of the Mercedes-Benz GLK-Class and Audi Q5 during the same model year.
The car will combine a transverse engine layout with flexible steering and suspension offers. The Q3 will borrow many Golf Mk5, or possibly Golf Mk6, components, such as a Direct-Shift Gearbox (DSG) dual clutch transmission and a 155 kW (208 hp) 2.0 FSI turbo engine featured in the current Golf GTI. The car should also feature a 171 kW (229 hp) 3.0 turbo-diesel V6 & a 210 kW (282 hp) 3.6 FSI V6 for the flagship, the Q3S.
While the car should be available in both front-wheel drive (FWD), and quattro "on-demand" four-wheel drive variants, there will be no height-adjustable suspension, lockable differentials or low-range gearing. Instead, the car will feature larger wheels and a sports suspension.
The car has been approved due to the declining sales large SUVs are currently experiencing, and the public's healthier appetite for smaller crossovers. The company is targeting niche markets to reach its ambitious sales targets, and the Q3 is part of these plans. The production name will undergo change from "Q3" to another name as an agreement with carmaker Infiniti stipulates. Various Audi concept cars have debuted with the name "Cross Coupe" and this name is a possibility for the production Q3.
Audi is producing the Q3 in Martorell (near Barcelona, Spain), a plant founded in 1993 and owned by SEAT, Volkswagen Group's Spanish subsidiary [2][3][4] which in 1998 had been awarded as the "Best Factory of the VW Group in the first quarter".[5] The first cars rolled out of the production lines in June 2011 [6] while the decision to produce the Q3 to this plant shall give Audi the ability to produce around 100,000 units per year, with the cost of moving there for production rising to approximately €300 million.[7]
By choosing the Martorell factory Audi has created 700 new jobs there. Wolfram Thomas, a SEAT Board Member for Production, said that "the Q3 represents the SEAT employees' excellent preparation and premium-carmaking skills." Frank Derves of Audi made similar remarks: "The Martorell factory is an extremely productive facility with a highly skilled workforce, and one that meets the exacting quality standards of our brand. The Q3 definitely gets the Audi seal of approval."

2012 Renault Koleos on the road
New Renault Koleos reasserts the dynamic personality of the original thanks to elegant, more expressive front-end styling, while its carefully-finished interior delivers the expected package of refined appointments and travelling comfort.
The model will be available with either the 2.5-litre petrol engine (TR 25) or the 2.0 dCi diesel (M9R), which itself comes in a choice of two power outputs: 110 or 127kW (150 or 175hp). The CO2 emissions of the diesel powerplants have been reduced significantly and the 4x2 dCi 150 version emits just 148g/km.
New Renault Koleos, which can be specified with either 4x2 or 4x4 transmission, is a genuinely versatile vehicle. It is comfortable and nimble in and about town, yet it boasts real off-road ability and is ideal for escaping the crowd thanks to its all- wheel drive transmission which was developed within the framework of the Renault-Nissan Alliance.
Its extensive equipment specification includes all Renault's latest useful and intuitive technologies, including parking sensors, hands-free entry and ignition, joystick-operated Carminat TomTom Live navigation and Hill Start Assist. Depending on market, the catalogue features a choice of two or three equipment levels.
This D-segment vehicle boasts impeccable quality, too. Designed by Renault and manufactured at the Renault Samsung Motors plant in Busan, South Korea, it benefits from Renault's vast experience in the realms of both passive and active safety for a reassuring drive whatever the terrain.
