TD FG Falcon Introduction 11-05-2008 D
Next part of this episode of Test Drive, the introduction of the new FG Falcon. Ok, lotsa new stuff on the Falcon, but, in the real world, away from the sissy-bars and lesbian-encouraging female-only-gyms, what point is it all and will it be suitable in ten or more years? Yeah, that's right, most of the stuff in the cabin of the new Falcon will be obsolete and useless in a few years. Like the recent models that had stereos that could not easily be upgraded or altered (meaning the average second-hand car buyer had no use for the Falcon, which diminishes its value on the second-hand market and onlookers translate that to the new cars and so buy Commodores, Magnas, Camry's or foreign-built cars)these lovely new cars will have a much lower value in coming years than that of a Commodore of the same age. It's all well and good to have lots of beaut toys in the cab, but they've got to be able to be usable in ten to twenty years and upgradability should be paramount on the minds of the car's developers; alas it is not.
Test Drive Supercar Showdown 2008 - Ford FG Falcon F6

FG F6 310 test drive...
I was a little disappointed. It was nothing like what I thought it would be.
There's no turbo lag, which to me is why I love my BF F6, it kicks you hard when Boost hits. This thing didn't :(

Coming out of the FPV stable, it makes big promises, and it delivers -- a satisfying combination of smooth handling and muscle-car power.
