Cadwell Park on a GSX-R 750 SRAD (17th August 2010)

Bike Magazine organised a 'road bike only track day - reclaim our tracks'. Only road bikes with lights and numberplates allowed, no race prepped track bikes. This is the last session of the day in the novice group on my 1998 suzuki GSX-R 750 SRAD running Michelin Pilot Road 2's (fitted the day before the track day: absolutely amazing tyres, well worth the extra money so far). On paper my bike is meant to be somewhere around 135bhp (according to parkers/wikipedia/general spec sheets). I had refitted the standard Exhaust as I was worried about my Yoshi RS3 race can being above the noise limit. The speedo is accurate to around 10% as I once had 150mph indicated, but my gps logger recorded an actual 136mph. My top speed on the day was around 130mph along the start/finish and park straights. Oh and I also got my kneedown for the first time ever! After it happened the first time I managed to repeat it again and again - picture of my kneeslider at the end of the video :D Really enjoyed the day, and thanks to Irish Rob (who I met on the day) for lending me his bullet camera and mount without a second thought. Top guy! On a side note, this isn't my usual camera equipment and therefore isn't upto my usual standard of quality but it's still interesting to watch if you're thinking of going to cadwell or are looking at buying an SRAD 750... I'm looking at upgrading my own bullet camera to a HD cam with solid state video recorder in the next month or so, so expect more from me very soon ;) Feel free to slag off my lines/skills, I was taking alot of corners very wide to get a good view ahead and trying to set myself up for overtakes on the straights.
