Im Exterieur präsentiert sich der neue Puccini mit exklusiven silberfarbenen Fendern, die von Bug und Heck auf das Dach auflaufen. Land Rover Defender & Caravan Snow Climb Fail. By http://www.wanderen.com
Mad Dogs and Englishmen go out in the Winter Snow ..... By http://www.wanderen.com Dragging the 2000kg Caravan out of the campsite with a fully loaded Defender at Longny-au-Perche : the Incline does not look too bad in the video, but - trust me It was steeper than it looked. 25 minutes of struggle- Just to get out of the campsite. But like an idiot I forgot to lock the diff. The start of a 230 mile journey in (perhaps) some of the worst weather in Europe in recent times and we had to move on. The first 20km on small snowed up country roads, proceeding at a crawl in Lo-Ratio ; Climbing Hills in an almost constant four wheel spin to cut through the snow to gain grip, preparing for each decent by dropping back to walking pace and Never... Never touching the brakes. The down hill sections where taken at a slow walking pace in 2nd or 3rd gear of Lo-Ratio, (first gear's engine braking was fierce enough to make the wheels lose traction) with no gear changes and definitely no brakes. I don't think there was much chance of a jackknife because there was so little sideways traction on the Landy to drag it round, rather , we would have been on a beautiful if stately course straight down into the valley a scary day :- TheWanderen See more adventures at : http://www.wanderen.com

Caravan off of a snowy pitch
A sudden dump of snow overnight left us with a problem. We needed to get our 2010 Swift Charisma off of a sloping pitch that was consisted of sodden mud, covered with fresh, slushy snow. Our tow car was a 2009 Peugeot 4007 2.2 HDi. We put it in four-wheel drive and engaged the diff lock but the concern was that the slippery road-biased tyres would not have the traction to move the 1550kg tourer. The first attempt just saw the wheels spinning, but after backing onto better ground, down the slope, we pulled clear at the second attempt. That's why a four-wheel drive is a good idea for towing a caravan at this time of year.
