Today I was able to pull the engine and transmission out of the car so the next phase of modifications could be made. First, because the engine is mounted so low in the vehicle to fit under the stock hood...the oil pan is going to need fairly serious modification to give a practical amount of ground clearance. Next, I wanted to turn the engine upside down to dump the dog food that a rat had stashed in the intake manifold galley and get ready for the cam swap which will be in an upcoming video. Maverick 1972 sprint detalles de restauración Interiores:: Tablero nuevo original traído de california. Instalación eléctrica nueva (lámparas, tablero, cerraduras de puertas, etc). Se cambio el parabrisas por uno nuevo original. Se tapizaron las butacas (las originales) en vinipiel como es original, sus asientos deportivos individuales se hicieron a como es original con gajo oculto y placas originales de maverick. Tapas de portezuelas en acabado 100% original con su detalle cromado y emblemas con el singular torito, los emblemas son placas de acero cromado originales. Palanca de serie hurst con su pomo en aluminio. Lámpara de lectura nueva con plafón cromado. Cielo a gajos en vinil con acabado lunar tal como el original. Alfombrado completamente con alfombra PerfilPlast la cual es en un acabado con cerdas enroladas como va en este tipo de vehículos (esta alfombra es de la más costosa y mas resistente además que es la optima para le vehículo) , se alfombro también la cajuela y se hizo un cubre llanta de refacción con una imagen de el toro en plateado) Volante R-1 de aluminio. Sonido envolvente con dos juegos de medios y dos pares de bocinas 6x9 instalación profesional. Tacómetro en el centro. Medidores de volts, amperes, temperatura, etc. Exteriores: Emblema único MAVERICK al frente en su parrilla original. Cintas decorativas plateadas maverick grabber. Calcomanías originales de Grabber. Emblema GT en cajuela (tapa de gasolina) en aluminio original traída de california. Tomas de aire en cofre de GRABBER. Spoiler trasero y remates traseros de GRABBER. Acabado de pintura en tricapa Dupont color Azul agresivo. Molduras y defensas Re cromadas y piezas de acero pulidas. Faros, cuartos y calaveras nuevos. Se removieron los cuartos laterales y se montaron emblemas de "302" y "5.0" (emblemas originales traídos de california Mustang). Par de retrovisores tipo bala Maverick. Polarizado. Seguridad: Se cambiaron los frenos de tambor por frenos de disco. Se monto una palanca de direccionales high performance. Seguros de acero de doble perno en cofre. Alarma antirrobo con alarma de 7 sonidos. Rines AMERICAN Racing con tapas cromadas. Llantas Radiales con cara blanca STINGER. Controles remoto con apertura y cerrado de puertas. Claxon con compresora y 3 cornetas. Batería Optima amarilla de 90 amperes. Técnicos: Motor súper cargado v8/302 5.0 edición especial Ford racing. Par de Flowmaster Delta-flow y escape doble en acero inoxidable a media luna. Transmisión manual 5 velocidades HURST. Suspensión Delantera y trasera nueva. Resortes frontales nuevos. Diferencial de deslizamiento. Árbol de levas y balancines balanceados EDELBROCK callejero para mejor desempeño y mayor torque. Araña o manifull, brazos, ventilador, filtro de aire,mangueras etc. cromados. Alternador BOSCH de 90 amperes traido de california cromado. Cables de bujías ACCEL. Bujías NOLOGY de platino HIGH PERFORMANCE. Carburador EDELBROCK 600cfm de 4 gargantas. Distribuidor high performance MSD. Filtro de gasolina de acero pulido MSD. Encendido electrónico. Por donde pases lo voltean a ver, súper potente y muy cautivador.





1973 Maverick Grabber 332 Stroker first test drive
This is the first test drive of an 8 month build. It's a very clean 1973 Maverick Grabber that has been converted to a top loader 4 speed. The engine is a 332 Scat Stroker, with Dart Aluminum heads, roller cam, MSD, etc. During the build we also installed an SSBC 4 wheel disc brake conversion. My wife was trying to film the "maiden voyage" and the camcorder batteries went dead. She was relegated to the front porch using the AC adapter. We will get it out on the road for more footage soon....
