Todd found this 1947 Knucklehead 15 minutes after loading the recently found 1952 Panhead. He was told it was original paint, unfortunately, it is not. But it is still a nice example of an old repaint, and it is still a 1947 Knuckle

With only 3 owners in it's history, Bill, the latest owner, lovingly cared for her since 1961 when he had purchased the machine from his friend who had bought her when she was near new from the original owner.

1954 Panhead Spring Special Color original paint upclose and personal
1954 was a banner year for American companies. No one had high production, many went out of business. In late 1954 production, Harley made a new frame called a staright leg frame. This was only produced for the last 200 of this model year. 1955 the straight leg frame was normal production; but in 1954, ONLY 200 were made and these rare machines are different from later year models.
