Some freebies from a co-worker. Vintage 60's snow bird snow blower, Craftsman tractor
A co-worker said he had some "junk" for me, what he had was a 60's Snow Bird snow blower with a briggs engine on it and a murray built craftsman tactor with a 12hp briggs. I'll post a follow up on getting the Snow Bird running.
Agway from the dump 8/7/10
Just got back from a dump trip and found this Agway at the dump (dumpled?). I somehow managed to push it into the truck myself along with some scotts push mower with a knocking tecumseh. The issue with this tractor is the deck always engages when you hit a bump thanks to a worn height adjuster.

Biggest haul FROM the Dump, and the triforce of Scotts
We've had some pretty good junk picking days at the town dump before, but last Saturday morning the dump was a trash picker's buffet. If only the big truck was running! Plus at the end you get to see all three Scotts tractors we now have.

ATV Homemade Snowblower 2009 Snow test run
First test run of the ATV homemade snowblower / snow thrower on a Feb 2009 snow storm.
The driveway is about 900 feet long 4 car wide at the top. The 11 hp Honda never even bogged down. Need about 1-2 feet or snow for a real test... C'ya in 2010
Sears Craftsman FF20 Monster Garden Tractor - first start
Here is our new tractor, a Sears FF20 tractor powered by a 20hp opposed twin Onan engine. This was/is the biggest tractor ever produced by sears. It has a direct drive Eaton hydro transmission which drives huge 26" rear wheels. This thing could crush the GT5000 if it had the chance, and weighing in at 850lbs, that would be no problem for it. The paint job sucks, as does the seat. But for $200 it was a well worth it!
BM Volvo 350 Boxer with snowblower
BM 350 Boxer with Øveraasens Viking PW 800 front-mounted snowblower.
The power is taken from the PTO axle in the back of the tractor, and directed forward by a gear. The snowblower is pushed by a frame mounted under the tractor.
Each fan is 800 mm. in diameter.
The tractor was used by "Statens Vegvesen" (The National Road Administration) to clear the roads at the mountain.
John Deere 955 with a 60 inch snow blower
I love this thing. It has one purpose, move snow and that it does. The in take is 26 inches high . The first pass is slow due to the snow being pushed in a pile and basically the full capacity of the unit. Just a blast to run. The people/cars passing by can't help to stare at the hugh amount of snow in the air. One thing you learn fast, work with the wind! Other items like sod or treasure hiding int he snow pass with ease. The only thing that slowed it down was a small row boat I forgot about. The boat needed some repair and the blower needed a new shear blot, lol.
Some horrible news...
We knew it had to come someday. Maybe it was the C30 that pushed it too far, maybe the dodge. All we know is it sucks. Have to do some looking into these BS ordinances in my town, as of now it looks like they allow 4 registered vehicles outside the house, so if that is true, then 4 cars will be there. Still gotta decide what to do with these tractors, gonna try to find storage for a lot of them, can't bear to part with 'em. The C30 will most likely be sold, the C20 is going to be stored by a friend of mine, and the toyota is at another friend's house.
The Craftsman GT5000's dead Kohler diagnosis
Here's our new Craftsman GT5000 Garden Tractor with a broken Kohler Pro 25hp V-Twin motor. Harry Homeowner said it just quit running; he told us "one of the pistons is stuck". Wasn't really sure what the hell that meant, so we checked it out as soon as we got it home. Watch and see what we discover...

Trying the Jacobsen 'Imperial 26' snowblower after fix
It was blowing snow nicely, but both wheels were not spinning the way they were supposed to. Turns out the hub was missing a key, so we fixed it and here's the results...
My snow blower and a "gift"
I pulled my snowblower out of storage today (it was like 70 today!!!!!) and am going to be getting it ready for SNOW!!! Also, a guy I just met gave me like $1000 worth of tools and gasket kits, repair parts for Tecumseh and Briggs engines!! Very nice guy!!
