Toyota Supra Vs. Turbo Saturn (With story)
* I know this video is old, and has been seen by thousands, but i wanted to upload this to set the story straight.* I was in this 1997 Toyota Supra that was owned by a close personal friend when we raced this Saturn. This took place near Milwaukee,Wi around 2004-2006 time frame. The rumor about this supra being some 1000 horsepower car is completely false.The Supra was a built 3.0L motor,built head,cams, AEM EMS V1. With a Sound Performance SPSS850GTW. (Pretty much a GT4088 which is in the 63mm family of turbos) The night this was filmed the Supra was on pump gas and the low Boost setting (18psi) With that Boost on that turbo the horsepower was somewhere in the mid-low 500 wheel horsepower range. not the 800-1000 that alot of youtuber's claim. As you can see we stopped in the video and talked for quite awhile. Mike (the owner of the saturn) has since moved. The supra in the Video has since been sold and wrecked. We were both in shock and very impressed with this Saturn. We later found out it made the 340WHP. For those unaware those Saturn's weigh between 2200-2400lbs, where this Supra weights 3700. Therefore the power/weight is actually VERY similar to each other. Either way great night, TWO good cars, and two very respectable owners.
