Brand New Craftsman Riding Mower Review and Test Drive "Please Read Below For A Detailed Review"

The performance of the mower is perfect! Don't expect much when it comes to ease of use. The controls on the sides of the seat are difficult to use and the blade height lever is far more heavy than the old style which was positioned on the side of the engine. The ride is incredibly smooth and the hydrostatic transmission makes accelerating/deceleration effortless. It will not mow in reverse so anytime you need to stop and reverse you have to operate the speed lever to slow down with your left hand then disengage the blades with your right hand then reverse and come back to neutral with your left hand then engage the blades with your right hand and accelerate with your left hand. Why can't a person just reverse and keep going? Simply put, "Great Performance, But Not Comfortable To Operate."

Sears Craftsman FF20 Monster Garden Tractor - first start
Here is our new tractor, a Sears FF20 tractor powered by a 20hp opposed twin Onan engine. This was/is the biggest tractor ever produced by sears. It has a direct drive Eaton hydro transmission which drives huge 26" rear wheels. This thing could crush the GT5000 if it had the chance, and weighing in at 850lbs, that would be no problem for it. The paint job sucks, as does the seat. But for $200 it was a well worth it!

Just got a FREE Craftsman LT1000 20.5/42 Tractor
Hey what are the odds.....another free lawn tractor....the newest one I own now!! Its a 20.5 hp twin turbo cool with hydrostatic trans and a 42 inch deck, and IT RUNS!!!
$50 of awesomeness: Our new Craftsman LT1000 lawn tractor
We bought this tractor last Saturday; The guy was vauge on the phone, just said a Craftsman with a bad trans and a plow and he wanted $50. We figured it was probably some old piece, but were pleasantly surprised when we got there and found it to be newer and in great shape (it's just dusty) having been always garaged. Then when we discovered the trasmission was FINE we declared it $50 of awesomeness. I can't believe this has happened twice! The only thing thats really wrong with it is the axle is twisted slightly at the front left wheel, but we can probably bend it back, it's just flimsy sheetmetal. EDIT: We've replaced this axle with a cast-iron one from another Craftsman. No more axle bending here!

What better way to spend your summer than making a lawnmower go dangerously fast?
I got this Craftsman mower a week ago. It is no longer a mower ha ha. I did a conventional pulley swap, with a 3" on the tranny and a 5" on the engine. I only did third gear because I did not want to go faster driving with only one hand. In 5th gear, it tops out at around 35-40 mph.
It stalls because I did not set the idle jet on the carb and the engine was cold. Whoops.
Still to come:
Independent front suspension
Wider rear end
MAYBE a turbocharger
Brakes
Black fenders, not that ugly blue
Roll cage with engine cage and brush guard (it's my mudding mower too)
Lights everywhere!
... and a fire extinguisher.
