AWESOME! Amtrak P42's Blow through a Snow Bank at a Crossing on the NEC!!
No trains were running today. That is, until I got word of this awesome opportunity. I knew that track one would have snow on the crossing because 2151, the first acela of the day "had some issues" near Mansfield, MA. Enjoy.

Three GP15 engines were sent on a snow clearing mission along the Troy Grove sub after the recent major snowstorm.
I chose a poor location to catch this with only a few drifts. But it was a nice day to be out. Clear and cold day with light winds.

BNSF Snow Blower in Aurora, NE
The BNSF was clearing the tracks southwest of Aurora and I had a chance to capture it on film.
OSR Alco Snow Plow Extra!!!
Alcos and 1st gen power pushing a snow plow! Filmed on February, 2, 2011 just after a major snow storm blocked the OSR from getting to St. Thomas. A solution was thought up and the snow plow was brought out. Recorded for your viewing pleasure!

The folks on the cold wind swept hill, had a heart warming moment, when a WW2 Hurricane swooped down for a awesome low flypast. it was great to see a folks who weren't alive during WW2, honouring this iconic aircraft.
