2013 Tata Nano Quick Review

the world's cheapest car, the Tata Nano has come into the limelight for
being a close alternative to 2-wheelers. The Tata Nano has been updated
twice since launch. The 2013 update is not a major one and the Nano gets
more features and minor styling tweaks.
Powering the Tata Nano is a 624cc, twin-cylinder engine which produces a
modest 38 PS of power. The Nano has quite a lot of space on the inside and
the vehicle returns an impressive mileage of 18-20 km/l in city conditions.
Tata Motors is also working on a diesel Nano which will Boost appeal of this vehicle drastically.

Hyundai Grand i10 Road Test Review

changing car which features loads of equipment, acres of interior space and
neutral dynamics. The Hyundai Grand i10 is offered with a petrol and diesel
engine both of which are frugal offering good city performance and
impressive mileage. The Hyundai Grand i10 is priced from Rs. 4.30 lakhs and
is offered in a slew of variants.
The Grand i10 sits between the i10 and i20 in Hyundai's Indian portfolio.
The vehicle rivals the Ford Figo, Maruti Suzuki Ritz and Honda Brio. The
Indian model features a re-designed C-pillar which helps Hyundai liberate
more rear seat room in the Grand i10. The boot space is 256-litres big
which is the second best in the segment (second to the Figo) and 50-litres
bigger than the Swift.
The petrol engine in the Grand i10 is from the i10 and i20, the 1.2-litre
engine produces 83 PS of power and 114 Nm of torque. The diesel engine is
the same unit which does duty on the i20, sans a cylinder. The U2 mill in
the Grand i10 outputs 71 PS of power and 158 Nm of torque. Both engines are
mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox.
The petrol Grand i10 returns a mileage of 18.9 km/l while the diesel Grand
i10 returns a mileage of 24 km/l (both ARAI certified).

Jupiter uses the underpinnings of the TVS Wego but is designed to appeal to
male buyers. The Jupiter is powered by the same engine as the Wego,

tweaked to offer better performance and the mileage is around 48-50 km/l in
normal riding conditions.

EXCLUSIVE - Yamaha RD350 vs KTM Duke 390 shootout review at
http://www.motorbeam.com/ tests the 2013 KTM Duke 390 in India. The new
Duke 390 is powered by a 373.2cc engine which produces an insane 43.5 PS of
power and 35 Nm of torque. The KTM Duke 390 boasts of stupendous
acceleration figures, reaching 100 km/hr from standstill in a matter of
just 5.8 seconds. The KTM Duke 390 is priced at Rs. 1.80 lakhs
(ex-showroom) which makes it an amazing value for money performance bike.
It comes with ABS as standard. The Duke 390 is locally manufactured by
Bajaj Auto at its Chakan facility.
The KTM Duke 390's single-cylinder engine does have some vibrations at
start-up but the biggest issue is the heat it generates in city conditions.
But once on the open road, the KTM Duke 390 turns into a complete monster
and accelerates with insane thrust to reach its top speed of 160 km/hr +.
The Duke 390 returns a mileage of 25-30 km/l which is impressive when you
factor the performance on tap.

2011 Chevrolet Cruze Test Drive Impressions
I recently visited the East Coast for a GM sponsored introduction to the
2011 Chevrolet Cruze. In addition to driving the turbo 1.4L Cruze, I was also able to drive the
Toyota Corolla S and Honda Civic for comparison. As always, I was very
rushed and I apologize for the sloppiness that is my video style.
