Many months ago, Nissan asked their fans to help them create the ultimate 370Z track car. They called it Project 370Z. To put it to the test, Nissan fans were asked to vote for a challenger to compete against it. They chose a 1970 Datsun 240Z with an RB26 engine transplant built by Gordon MacSwain. On this episode of The Downshift, we head to Las Vegas Motor Speedway for an epic David vs Goliath battle between these two amazing machines.

I met this Dodge on my way to a buddy. Due to the high traffic and some speedlimits, only one run was possible. Had a talk to the driver later and perhaps there'll be a follow up. Btw the Dodge has 670HP, some kind of a special American racing engine, and a topspeed of ~310km/h (~193mph)

1000HP+ 370Z!! BRUTAL exhaust note (Project White Dragon)
This is an insane 370Z twin turbo putting out 886 RWHP - or about 1036 BHP - on recent Dyno runs - and apparently there's some headroom for more! It's called 'Project White Dragon' and this was filmed at SEMA 2011 in Vegas. A big thanks to the friendly guy who was willing to fire her up for the camera. Best of luck on your build!
UPDATE: Forgot to mention that this 370 is actually running a 4.5ltr engine,not the stock 3.7ltr, which is partly why it sounds like this, and can easily get 1000+ hp.
