This is a video of me and my dad getting the old Plymouth Barracuda started after years of sitting out in the barn. I bought this 1966 Barracuda in 1987, did all the paint and bodywork to make it very nice, and ended up selling it to my sister for $500 when I moved out of state. As you can see, sitting outside in the Colorado weather, and a few accidents have taken their toll on the old Plymouth Barracuda, but the big 360 inch V8 still wants to run. My son took a ride with me and thought it was really dangerous. He calls it "The Jagged Car." It makes me sad to see how run-down the old Barracuda is now. I hope I've aged a little bit better than my car.
Electric Smart Car And Smart Bike
The Smart Car company was showing off their new electric Smart Car, and they also had a Smart Bike on the bike rack on the back of the electric Smart Car. The Smart Bike is only available in Europe, and it has a powerful electric motor, 3 speeds, and a drive belt instead of a chain. Neat stuff from the Smart Car company.
1956 Ford Country Sedan Station Wagon - What's that terrible noise?
"Nothing lasts forever but old Fords and a natural stone," said Willie Nelson. This car has been in my family since the late 60s or early 70s, as long as I can rememer. We used to drive it across the country and back. It's a 1956 Ford Country Sedan station wagon with a 292 cubic-inch Thunderbird V8 engine. I remember going to sleep in the back of the car, between the dual Exhausts, listening to the engine as we drove across the country. In the video I was helping my dad figure out what was causing the horrible whistling noise you hear in the video. We think there's a leak in the gasket at the base of the carb. It has a 1965 Ford Mustang 4-barrel carb on an adapter plate bolted to the original 1956 Ford Thunderbird V-8 engine. There are 2 gaskets in the setup, and one was probably leaking. We tried loosening and retightening the bolts, but the sound was still there. Maybe something is warped. I suggested that my dad use 2 gaskets instead of one or try some silicone sealer. This 1956 Ford Country Sedan station wagon is an important part of the family, so we want to get it running right. It runs fine with the whistling, but it is pretty embarassing to drive. It's REALLY loud.

How To Clean Car Battery Terminals
Here is how to clean the battery terminals on your car. If you car's battery terminals are covered with acidic powder, clean them by putting some baking soda and water on them to neutralize the acid, then use a wire brush battery post cleaner to clean all of the acid and dirt off. Put the cables back on the battery terminal posts, and then cover them with petroleum jelly or Vaseline mixed with baking soda. The baking soda will neutralize acid that forms in the future. That is how to clean car battery terminals.
