MoTeC CDL3 Club Dash on Porsche GT3 Cup, Replacing a ADL1
New MoTeC CDL3 dash in a Porsche Cup car using Bosch ECU data stream and sync with Chasecam Video system. Using GPS system for lap beacon and driving line analysis. Replacing the ADL1 the car had originally we now have improved flexibility on our analysis we can use a SLM for may functions other than a shift light only set up,
As a bonus to the customer, he will never have to put out a lap timer beacon or enter the GPS coordinates as these will now auto load into the dash when the Dash realizes it is at a new track it will auto load start stop GPS coordinates.
Also the lap time and predictive lap time will auto update the most current fast lap and display the sector time gain or loss continuously as the car is run on track, These Functions are a small list of improvements we can utilize to help the driver better improve his performance behind the wheel.
MOTEC SDL3 with SLM
Just messing with the setup of a MOTEC SDL3 Dash and an SLM (Shift Light Module). Configured with an AppleMac Pro running Windows XP in a VMWare Fusion 3 window via an ethernet cable it is a very cool piece of kit. The SLM has only 4 wires (Can-Bus) but gives 65K colours of LED with endless potential for alarm / sequence programming.

Porsche 930 Motec EFI flames on rolling road
Power run as DSA Dyno produced 480bhp on the day. This was short on power due to a split inlet pipe. Now fixed and hoping for a better run in the future!
